I guess that makes me a crossbreed of Pre-advanced Otaku and Enlightened Otaku. I'll become a full-fledged otaku if I ever get the desire to do cosplay or get a figurine. Or actually make fanart and not make an edited picture that is still my best yet kinda crappy work on my highscool binder.

You shouldn't actually rate yourself.

Otaku in japan are people who overly-obsesses over stuff like anime and video games, they are widely ridiculed by most of the populace.
Baack, waaaay back I was still a newfag in the world of japanese culture (as I have just stumbled upon the beauty of non-mainstream animes). I was using the japanese language along with english that sounded so broken and fan-girlish, I watched a lot of animes and tried to imagine I was like a main character in my own anime, I considered myself cool as I sung anime OPs word per word in romaji. Then I grew up, my username today is a fragment of that dark time, trust me those want to be an otaku don't know what it really means to be one, it's used as an insult and a derogatory word like "nerd" or "geek". I hate those people who just want to show off, it reminds me of my dark past, my dark faggoty past.

I really don't care what stage i am at, i am a special breed not listed there....
That aside, why OP?

Im also a cross breed between per-advanced and enlightened. I feel per-advanced are the most common and sought form of Otaku. However, the earlier stages can be prevented by socializing with a per-advanced or enlightened Otaku. They will study and learn what it means to be an otaku, and we can break this cycle forever destroying the noob and catastrophe Otakus.
