Usually by halfway through a 12/13 episode anime you can see the ending coming. Moreover the good thing will have already happened by that far too.

The delay must be caused by Zandwarf taking his sweet time. If you are wondering what I mean by good thing. Its the plot hook. The reason we keep watching/reading is because somewhere in the story an event happened that piqued our interest and made us consciously decide to continue with the series. In the case of this world conquering business, the two opportunities I thought were missed were as follows. When MC almost got hit by a car, instead of introducing a new character have Kate save him. It would made me take her seriously in a more believable manner. The whole surrounded by tanks due to trying to save a toy just didn't feel right. The second was during the surrounded by tanks thing. Kate talks about conquest without actually saying anything. If she put together any half-way decent speech about world conquest and what she wanted it would have been much more impressive. Even more so if the JSDF simply surrendered to her persuasion. If both of those happened I would do Kate's bidding without a second thought.

That's so optimistic of you. Good shows will keep us wondering what's next in store and entertain us in its own way earlier or later as the story progresses, that is unless we're talking about entertaining nonsensical show like Daily Lives of High School Boys. Being disturbingly predictable early is not a recipe for success, even for slice of life category. That being said, maybe it was just the show being mediocre or the guy was smoking doobies, or both.

I didn't even see this... but they can't make Kate a complete Mary-Sue, otherwise it would be boring and rough. :/

Its only one episode in and it appears to be an anime original. Please writers let it have good plot. The "lolicon quest/loli conquest" posts on /a/ make me really think its going to be a fanservice money grab instead of an intriguing story. Mary-Sue can't conquer the world, although Mado-Sue saved the world.

Speaking about (un)predictable. Just finished Death Note. Light became too arrogant and sloppy by the end. The first 25 episodes were boss though and I couldn't keep up with his plans. They could have stopped at 25 and I would have been satisfied.

Idk, last time I played fuwaru's suwako, it was getting to be about 75/25 with him winning 75% of the time. After a while, you see the patterns, and he gets to be too predictable as he follows that pattern a lot. The only problem is learning when to execute your moves.

I'd suggest you reading the mango to complement the anime, or make it reversed; pick your poison. Death Note animoe was good, but its mango was more expanded. Not to count that the ending for both were slightly different, yet still implying the same resolution as well as entertaining.

Death Note girls are mostly brainwashed women, no good. However, I'd take (and tap) Sayu all-day anytime.
