Start with Fire Red, then 1.8, then Emerald (preferably AE), then World Link, then Another World. That pretty much escalates the awesome from high to highest

Fire Red allows you to get your hands at Last Words

1.8 gives you access to alternate evolutions

Emerald has a well-done scenario, but the only last words available are Utsuho, Suwako and Remilia

World Link is simply exquisitely made.

Another World is the most awesome in terms of work done

Okay, majority consensus is that I start with fire red first. Right!

Fire Red is easy as pie and you should finish in no time given that you have full access to up to 2 Last Words and 1 Advent, that is if you don't cheat ;)

Is THmon Emerald still the hardest one?

Alternate versions, usually parodying another series, of a Touhoumon. They are usually more powerful than an EX form, but depending on what type they become, it will change. (e.g. Advent Cirno is a piece of crap because she has increased weaknesses and becomes quadruply weak to fire. She is a more powerful attacker though)

Just a little tip on World Link.
Be sure have multiple save/states before battling Aichi in an insane battle.
He'll only give you one Zero type boneka randomly after you win.
Use Vlink and trade~
