Touhou Game Club

Got pretty much all of the materials I need for my Yuugi cosplay today, and I've got two weeks to get everything together, so it should be quite doable. I can't wait. We're doing a meetup at the con, (with Touhou cosplayers and Madoka cosplayers), so it should be a great time for pictures. :)

Decided to break from Touhoumon World Link for awhile. Think I made enough progress (hitting the fifth gym). Need to work on my Touhou Pocket Wars Evo Plus Videos. On another note, can anyone see the recent post I made in the Touhou music section? Trying to update it, but think it may have been a post bug :O

Well, I didn't really play Touhoumon far, so can't really say anything about it.

Anyway, I think I'd seen some of you were still using touhou wikia instead of new wiki (touhou wiki.net)
And you must be wondering why me and Jenkins have encourage you all to use new wiki instead of touhou wikia, right?

So, I decided to make a post to elaborate the reasons.

Now you must be thinking "why? It's still the same!"
The answer is no, touhou wikia is just hollow shell of the former wiki.

Why I call wikia 'a hollow shell of the former wiki?'

Three reasons:

First, the contributors who run and keep the wikia up to date have moved away into new wiki. For a lengthy tl;dr history of it, please refer to here

Second, articles in wikia are dated. For example, take a look and compare Yuyuko's page in wikia and Yuyuko's page in new wiki or Ten Desires in wikia and Ten Desires in new wiki. Notice the differences everyone?

And, if you check touhou wikia, you'll see they still haven't updated the new ZUN's album, Unknown Flower, Mesmerizing Journey into their music section.

Third, the wikia themselves have make it clear in their about page, that's their 'primary goal' is to provide users with a place to share their creations with fellow Touhou fans (user created content) and they don't aim to be a complete database for touhou.

So, with this, I hope you all can understand the reason of why we encourage to use new wiki instead of wikia.
