Pfft. I can try to. The best run I did, I got up to 8 lives before facing boss Meiling. She whipped my ass down to 4 lives, before I got to the 4th stage.

Then let's try to defeat Meiling without wasting any lives. In my opinion, the real challenge in EoSD is Sakuya as Remi (normal) is not much of a threat despite of her status as the last boss.

After you finished your first assignment, you may proceed to survive in Patchy's stage only with one life.

Wait, wait, wait... I have to beat Meiling without losing a life... and then try to beat Pachy while only losing one?

And hell, Sakuya is the hardest. I beat Remi only losing 3 lives. Sakuya took 2 continues. Damn her ability to stop time.


Edit: Well... I can beat Meiling losing one life... because I run out of bombs... I use 5 bombs on her stage right now... I have 7 lives right now.

And Pachy's stage took 5 lives.... All of them, because I thought I was safe, but wasn't.... Score: 43,977,140

And... I lost to mid-boss Sakuya on her stage... she gets right up close to me, and I can't squeeze through the knives... Score: 45,254,310...

Why yes, that's your first and second assignment, respectively.



Actually, she isn't that hard either, her stage on the other hand is quite a hell. The key to defeat her is to keep calm, try to analyze her pattern. At the first glance, her patterns may look hard and complex, but the gaps that you can exploit to avoid her bullets are very visible. I was once thinking like you since Sakuya took one continue in my very first play-through.

One thing to note, Sakuya is more into technical side, as long as you see her trick, none may stop you to confront Remilia.



Way to go, but I demand you to defeat her without losing any. Go go go.

She only took 1 continue on your first play through?!?! Holy cow! My first play through... Pachy took 3 continues.

Edit: Wait... Meiling took 1 continue... and I couldn't beat Pachy on my very first play through.

And I'm going to head to bed, since it's past 2 am where I am... night.

But EoSD is not my very first Touhou danmaku play-through.
It's more like the third, after PoFV and UFO (none I've cleared back then).

Haha, I cannot recall how many times I've tried to 1cc EoSD, but the satisfaction I earned after clearing it for the first time is very refreshing, it also motivates me to clear another series, starting from PCB to Ten Desires. You will understand in time you've cleared one.

And I know. I'm getting pumped to try to get the Extra Stage. All so I can see Flan-chan. ^^
And then try to beat her. lol.

Hum, Flan is quite hard for extra stage's level. I'd recommend you to deal with Mokou first if you want to be extra conqueror.
