I'm glad to see that you enjoy (in more ways than one) what we've recommended. Even though it's not supposed to be all heartwarming, at least it features a very definition of true happiness and unavoided way of life as its morals in the end, which is one of many brighter parts in the provided darkness. Take it easy, you just need time to think and look at it with different goggles.

Also why afterwards isn't still translated? If i could watch it i would be able to have a bit of relief from this sadness...The last time I checked, there were no words for the sequel's translation project yet. For now, we can only wait. Rin and me will try our best to provide any necessary information regarding said project if there's any.
Someone will post another recommendation tonight my time. Please look forward to it, I swear this is not gonna be a saddening one. In fact, I believe it can cheer you up even by only a little as it did to me.

Wait, there's a sequel!?
As for my favourite episode, it has got to be the episode where they go searching for flowers. The sounds and scenes were just absolutely fulfilling.

Wait, there's a sequel!?Sorry, should've added quotations. I don't know how to word it since it's not really sequel, but here :
Spoiler:
Let's just say it's an after story, for now.

It's right there in the announcement post, Zandwarf. Why would you forget about what I announced less than a week ago ? Just take it easy, okay.

This is why I don't like school. lol.

After the heart-touching series we had previously, this time we have a series of a different kind, comprised of PVDs of various flavors that you may find to your liking!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

PVs made/published by Sound Holic. Released in C82.
Prescription#6 : Sound Holic Animation Movie Clips PVD3
http://sound-holic.com/pvd/3/
-Consists of 4 clips with varying music and styles-
PVD3 #1 - Kill The Night ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】
a 3D danmaku play between Reimu and Yuuka, accompanied by some erratic music.
PVD3 #2 - Song of love, light, and eyelids ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】
An interpretation of the tale behind Koishi and Satori, before and after.
PVD3 #3 - A Prank TODAY ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】
A lighthearted journey featuring the trio known as the mischievous fairies!
PVD3 #4 - 60's Xanadu ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】
A well animated video featuring most of PoFV's cast, with well made transitions.
I am personally a fan of Soundholic's PVD works, most of all which is PVD3 #2 this time, whose art style and story pacing is reminiscent of Soundholic's past PVDs that involved Byakuren and the prismriver sisters.( which are also my favourites)

PVD3 #1 - Kill The Night ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】 Unfortunately not as fluid as expected, it looks like jumping from frame#1 to (supposed to be) frame#11. If they really wanted to make a good fighting sequence, they should have realized that animation is the main key. Catchy song though, it reminds me of Initial D's songs, yet another high-speed stuff.

PVD3 #3 - A Prank TODAY ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】 Pretty much the best from PVD3 in my opinion. Well-animated, funny, having an appropriate song to accompany the three mischievous fairies with its happy happy tone and cheerfulness, and make sense. It surely delivered what it wanted to say and provide in a laidback and simple manner. Very enjoyable. A+
Zafhner wrote...
PVD3 #4 - 60's Xanadu ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】I think it's drawn by the same artist of Prank Today, Zenjinrui no Hisoutensoku (PVD?), Shuwa Spa Plan (PVD), and Infinity World (PVD2). This artist is pretty much my personal favorite when it comes to quality and consistent drawing. It's a shame that his drawing, albeit high in quality, suffers the curse of lazy-animation. 60's Xanadu is no exception, it only repeats the same footage over and over. I'm well aware that I'm not too smart, but really, I don't get what it wanted to say by this video. Maybe they just want to introduce PoFV's characters ? Then why I see no Prismrivers and Mystia; is it because they are not as popular as the ones featured (at least everyone loves to use Medi) ? That's saddening. Oh yes, Komachi has the most varied appearances, with one of them being her bouncing-boobs like that also-red-haired girl from TTGL.
Ah.. sorry if it sounds like a personal fangirl-ish rant, Zufi. Honestly, I think PVD3 is a letdown from PVD2, though still enjoyable in one way or the other. Thanks for your recommendation, I would have missed this if you never notified me.

Something interesting happening, my laptop has developed an input issue that locks the direction arrows in one direction (the one I am pressing at the instant it locks). It happens in IN and TD and likely all of the games, despite only testing those two. It appears that to reset it I have to switch windows. It never happened in easy mode and there is no new hardware or drivers since when it started so I have no clue as to the cause. The frame rate doesnt change so nothing is lagging. It does not happen in any other program. I'm open to suggestions.

I take that it's the issue where if it "locks" when you're pressing a certain direction, it keeps going in that direction even after you let go, right?
When that happens, just randomly mash your directional keys frantically in separate directions. That usually resets it back to normal.

Thats exactly it. It also negates the opposite button. Example: if it is locked in "up" the "down" arrow has no effect even when held. Thats a terrible fix to use in game when learning a stage.
I'm going to reinstall the logitech drivers.

PVD3 #1 - Kill The Night ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】 The music was cool, and so was the giant yin-yang orb being broken in half by the True Master Spark. That's all I got to say for the good stuff. On the other hand, the transitions made the video seem very choppy and not very coherent.
Zafhner wrote...
PVD3 #2 - Song of love, light, and eyelids ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】 I'm as speechless as Jen............. But that is an interesting idea of what went on, even though Reimu/Marisa were going to the Moriya Shrine when Koishi attacked them.
Zafhner wrote...
PVD3 #3 - A Prank TODAY ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】 I thought Reimu gave those wasabi filled mochi to Cirno... It was a little weird, going from the main animation to the picture drawings, the detailed picture drawings like Luna Child when she went into the pond. Overall, I really liked it. I'm a big fan of fairies and their cheeky shenanigans. xD

PVD3 #4 - 60's Xanadu ã€æ±æ–¹PVD3】I don't know what to say about this one.... It was kinda cool, but then again, it sometimes looked really cheesy, what with like the tunnel down the well. It might have been a good introduction of the PoFV cast, if it actually included everyone.

Whats your worst bullet pattern?
Everyone in IN has at least one attack involving them. If I play them "weak" (letting them go around me) I get killed by them, if I play them "strong" (taking the fastest path through them) I get killed by something else.
Got to Rainbow Danmaku then died. Lucked out on the locking direction arrow thing. Kaguya is easier than I thought. Bombing my way though stage 4,5 and Final B was not a good idea though.
Not shown: the 15 runs where arrow keys locked. Switching windows did not reset controls nor did pressing all the arrow keys hence no score for them. Those only worked in TD.

It was probably one of the worst interpretations I've ever seen regarding Koishi's backstory. Up until today, I've always been thinking that all of SA casts are meant to be symbolic or complex, with Koishi being on the top of chart. Adding romance stuff, and especially a shallow one at that, really made me speechless.
Oh also, from the way it implied; it looked like as if Reimu and Marisa went on an unreasonable rampage to beat Satori, Orin, and Okuu to a bloody pulp, yet adding more minus points for its overall quality. On the brighter parts, animation is, as always, appealing to eyes. Not to count a good remix of Last Remote playing as the BGM.

Whats your worst bullet pattern?Anything by Reimu, but Spirit Sign "Fantasy Seal -Spread-" earns a special mention for being a jerk all day.
The bullets are spreading and very fast, it demands a proper concentration for one to avoid it completely. Beware of the bouncing yin-yang orbs, they usually hit you when you aren't aware of their presence in the barrage of high-speed bullets.
Naturally, it's recommended to use unfocused spread shot-type to deal with said spellcard since Reimu can disappear suddenly after shooting, but it also adds more for the possibility of a yin-yang orb to hit you since they're considered familiars. If you decided to disregard their existence by focusing all the time, you would hardly touch Reimu since Alice's and Remi's shot-type are highly focused, its natural enemy is a fast/blinking character like Reimu.
With those risky conditions, I usually resort to bombing at the most of my run during the spellcard.

Can we get a 1 day extension on the Normal run submission? I've been trying my ass off trying to get a 1cc run without losing a lot of my score, but I've come no where close, and I won't be able to play touhou again until after I get done with work tomorrow...
Edit: The time I can start playing Touhou again tomorrow is about 20:00 hours my time, which would be about 08:00 hours the day after the submissions are due. And after about 16:00 hours today, I won't be back online until about that same time.

Archived. It seems you had a lot of problems in both technical and gameplay side, thanks for your hard work. The gameplay side is much easier to deal with. I've improved quite a bit in the first four stages because the locking happens before stage 5 most of the time.

Fantasy Seal -Spread-Haven't tried on normal yet but on easy by putting Remi's familiars on one side and yourself on the other its easier to hit Reimu.
