Waifu Game 8: Chat Thread.

At the beginning of Game 5, I just barely snuck in 5 claims near the end of the game. Game 6, I was upper Elite status... So what you're saying is true. It would kinda be unfair for those who post at a slower rate... like what I'm doing now. ^^

My concern about setting a post count minimum for reclaims is it will vastly increase the amount of people farming to get more posts in the time remaining. Most of you don't get to see how often it happens but any time i mention a post minimum I have to warn about 4-5 people(mostly right before game start). I am more likely to give players who have been in the game longer a new reward rather than people who simply post a lot. Keep the ideas coming.

I wouldnt mind having at least 1 reclaim or raising the post count to 300 or 350 i would just have to actually browse the rest of the forums and not just IB

One reclaim per number of years as a member? Nah.

Maybe something based on previously played Waifu games again? Might be problematic to prove previous participation, though.

I would say think about join date, but you could have people that join and then don't post much. So im not sure how you could use that

We could do something along the lines of the 6th waifu rule where the people that qualify for the 6th waifu also get an extra reclaim or you could make it so they are the only one that get a reclaim this would also even out their claims to one per round like everyone else.......but again its not exactly fair.

As to the post count requirement....300 seems fair maybe 250 for lurkers if needed although by this point they should have caught on that the lurker rule isnt always going to cut it.

Reclaim is all I ask.

If you live within three hours from a mod, you get to reclaim all your waifus.

Also, I just want to bring to the table the fact that some of us basically spend our entire time on CTFG. For example, I know Sepias isn't as active know, but that guy has less than 100 posts, yet his total posts number is quite large. I can understand why you would disregard IB posts because most of them are IB, but not all of them are pointless posts, so even if we don't count the IB posts, I'm against the Elite/Elder reclaim idea. Not to say i'm against any reclaim idea.

I was thinking of going by first having the minimum amount of posts that have been used in the last few waifu games, and for reclaims, go by a COMBINED total of posts within both IB and regular posts. For example, you having the minimum amount of posts of 350, and for every other 350 posts that you had combined with IB and regular posts you can reclaim one waifu.

These numbers aren't exact, but if we can figure out a number that feels balanced in which where people can claim and re-claim waifus, I think the re-claiming system will work out.

The only problem I see using this as of right now, is for the mods having to go the each and every one's profile and do calculations, which is understandably, very time consuming, and I'm pretty sure that mods can only take doing that for so long before they get fed up with it

I dunno, but this is at least my two cents in trying to think of a solution of re-claiming.

I'll try to think of better solutions as the day goes by.

Well uh...No ideas yet but here's a question.
My old account had claimed 4 waifus already, yet i lost the password to that account and thus my account right now.

IF reclaims are possible am I allowed to claim from my old account (Since it's my claim but on a different user) or are they null for me?

How about doing it from the time at which a user joins?

In before, newer users disagrees in a flash.

Well I didn't want to bother the admins on account of my own mistake so I didn't do that.

I still could, but then this account's also been around for a while so I don't know what I should do now....Dammit

Just have the admins fix your issues with the old account, then have them delete this account, so that the rule that disallows use of multiple accounts is not broken.

The larger issue as Cinia just said is it's against the rules to have two separate accounts linked to one IP so I suggest you pm Jacob about the lost account. It's not a huge deal but if you want those old waifu I'm going to need to see you posting on that account first. A pm from that account will be enough.

In terms of the post count definitely think it's reasonable to bring it up to 300-350. If only because I should be able to steadily post up to that amount.

Is good to try and give people some sort of reward/advantage, though think staying with the amount of games played might be best. Could go with joined date which would be easier to check.

Thought things were done well last time so not really pushing for major changes. Having reclaims would certainly make some things easier, but there is some fun in the utter chaos of a clean slate.
