Silly Waar. I was being a straightforward confrontational woman, calling you on your bullshit.
I am not saying it's better or worse, a bit of both is probably the best, I'm just saying you 'genderized' these characteristics. You've also implied that being a straighforward man is better, since we all know your preference goes to IB.
Genderalizing(not a word) =/= misogyny. I do prefer IB but my preference doesn't indicate something being better than the other, simply that I prefer one to the other. C'mon Neya, you're not going to get into a battle of words with me, right? That would be absolutely insane considering how many people you've seen me ruin.
I did put that word in brackets since I knew it didn't exist. And I was just teasing, you arrogant bastard.
You would never have fallen for me if I wasn't this arrogant.
You mean it's only because I love you that I can stand that arrogance of yours. You take it as a compliment anyway.

Not for me, and I don't think any of my ex girlfriends would have complained about it. There may have been other issues but my confidence has been a boon for me since HS.

It's not about my preference, I honestly don't mind passive aggressive, but I called him out on the misogynistic part of his statement. He characterized women as passive aggressive, men as straightforward, implying men were better than women because he liked, if you follow the analogy, IB better. If you replace IB by man, and CTFG by woman, can you see the demeaning behavior? Though it started more as a teasing to Waar, I'm glad you butted in if it means what I said was unclear. Yeah, now that you explain it, I can relate to what you're trying to say.

On topic, I can't stand CTFG, but I also hate it when IB turns into people's personal blog where they complain like bitches or tell us stuff we really couldn't care less about. However, I do I like the fact that IB is diverse, not everything has to be to my tastes, and there's plenty to please me and other people. My only problem with CTFG is that there is no diversity to speak of, it's the same people, talking more or less of the same things in different threads, and clans forming, fighting and disbanding.
I'm one of those people who talks about shit people here couldn't really care less (and I'm fully aware about it), but, just stating my POV, it's one of those moments where I wanna talk with people here but no decent topic really comes up in mind.
CTFG = Same topic, different threads, that's how I see it. It's like a Skype conversation, but on a forum.

Well, you can be really annoying, but I'm not your girlfriend so it's not like I have to live with that. But don't worry, I still think you're cute and sweet and like a marshmallow on the inside. Soft and melty.

See, all soft. Also, apparently cunt is a REALLY bad word, cause I used it and my roommate looked at me, really really offended. I hadn't even said it to him.

That's just wishful thinking on your part, you just want me to be dirty and treat you like shit.

No, I don't. I'm an independent woman, who does not need a man that treats her like shit so she feels she's at least worth some of his attention because her daddy never gave her a hug.

@neya: Confidence, and even sometimes arrogance, is considered as one of the basic leadership quality. I've been in the business for years and I know Paul would make a good manager (at least from his confidence alone).

Someone arrogant just woudn't bother to understand the problems or others, much less have patience to deal with them.
Then again, that is just my baseless opinion. My perspective.
Therefore I said "even sometimes", meaning only applicable in certain situations. Also, it's not rare to see an employer firing his employees far too often. I'm not saying it's a good thing though.

I'm not actually sure about that. I've had a very very bad experience with an arrogant boss, and I don't think it's a good thing, sometimes or all the time. I've had a confident boss, but not to the point where he would smother you, and it went really well. I agree with you on confidence, but I can't stand arrogance. I think Paul would be a good leader only if he tames the arrogance and keeps it in his head, or he's gonna rub a lot of people the wrong way. And I love the guy, but I would never work with him or for him.

I've seen a lot of projects, ranging from small ones to those shit-ass large ones, and I've seen lots of supervisors like Paul. In some case, they failed. In the other cases, they did better than the most.
Now, how can this happen? According to my observation, those who failed had faint hearted subordinate. They can't stand this, they can't stand that. This type of subordinate coupled with Paul-like superior, what do you think would happen?
On the other hand, those who did it better usually consist of people who doesn't give a fuck. They used their manager's arrogance to prove their ability, overturning the boss' expectation.
Now, I'm sure you can see which one's better.
