And I'm pretty sure that their violent crime per capita isn't any worse that that of the United States or several European countries.

Probably America. Over here, if you commit a sex act of any kind with a minor (Re: under 18) and you're convicted as guilty, you're sent to jail, no ifs ands or buts! This also includes watching underage pornography. You watch it, you're sent to jail as soon as you're found guilty. They've even tried to send people to jail over Lolicon Manga, which scared the crap outta me, let me tell ya, but turned out to be because he did it in a public terminal(Library computer), so I got lucky. No jail for me! Lol.



I saw in a Sex Documentary once that Japan's population is growing slowly because the people are so obsessed with fetish and so afraid of children they refuse it. Though, the accuracy of such a show was...questionable, however. It did make a point of the love Hotels being for the purpose of convincing the couples to have children, though :lol:

I'm pretty sure that in the United States, a convicted sex offended can get a job as a teacher after a certain amount of time without a second offense. and I'm pretty sure a level 1 offender doesn't have a waiting period at all.

Also, I too heard that the Japanese population was suffering from the younger generation not having as many kids.

A.) Much like Japan, you cannot get a job in a public school if you have ever been a convicted sex offender. However, tetrary schools and possibly private schools are the exception for lower level convictions.

B.) Lowest age of consent in the US is 14 but only if the other party is under 18/21, depending on the state. That means that if you are viewing this site in accordance with the law then you are unable to screw anyone under the age of 16 in America. Sorry. However, if you are an American Citizen traviling abroad you can screw loli as young as 12 without any repercussion. Of course, again, as long as you are under 16.

C.) Yes, love hotels were created to help japanese get it on and have more kids. However, they were more created due to the cramped living conditions of 1ldrs in Tokyo that may prevent parents from having that second child. I mean, fucking while your kid has a front row seat is sort of... creepy.

D.) The real reason why japan has lower birth rates can actually be attributed to the fact that both men and women want to further their carriers before settling down. Women particularly as in japan it is still widely accepted that once married a woman will quit working and become a housewife. Though this is not the rule, some women fear this loss of power so they will either try to establish themselves in a particular carrier making it unfavorable for them to quit, or they will try an lead as productive a life as possible before being forced out of the workplace. Thus putting off marriage latter and latter, as well as the age in which couples will decide to have kids. The fetishes developed as a way to prevent pregnancy rather than a cause of a lack there of.

All of that was of course abridged for sake of easy digestion, but those are the facts. Oh, and to the op, japan is not that creepy. Example, my aunt is from Mexico, the city to be precise. She said that train molestations are not that uncommon and that they even have separate cars for women only, just like japan. Just another example of why japan does not corner the market on creepiness.

Ya, but really, you make a really good point. I still think the love hotels are weird. Well not weird, but different. Yet, in america, we basically have the equivalent= motels. Also, fun fact: nintendo started off owning & operating love hotels, But was first a playing card company.
