so like around a year ago I had bad trip with some acid and gave up drugs and drinking all together. since then I have seen improvments in my personal life I started working out again and have been way more foucs on my school and am about to transfer to a four year college even. the only problem is that sometimes my friends seem to look down on me and treat me differntly for not drinking or getting high as much anymore I must admit once in great while ill fall off the wagon. im pretty much asking for opinions and thoughts on the matter has anyone else been this?

What you do with your life is your choice. If you're happy with how your life is without drinking and drugs and wish to keep this way then do it.
I'm assuming that these are the same friends you use to drink and do drugs with so they probably miss having the old you around. Know that this is a selfish desire on their parts and they don't have your best interest at heart.
You have two choices:
1) Keep your life on this clean path (it's okay if you hit bumps on the road and relapse) and don't give a shit about your so-called friends
2) Go back to the old lifestyle to be with your friends again
A thrid option would be to keep your friends and stick to your morals, but this can be hard since your friends sound like bad influences with your current mindset.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just think about it, if I already have a set goal, one of the most important thing to have is a good health. I mean it would be stupid to be crippled just before reaching my destination because of liver damage. In the end this decision is your own, in my case my friends accepted my choice.

Yeah. A lot of friends are like that. They look down on you when you change (even if it is for the better). The options for me is to ignore them and go on with your improving life or persuade them to join you on the "clean" side

Well from what I've heard about acid I'd recommend staying away from that unless you got a good chunk of time off from all your responsibilities and as for drinking. Pick a day that you know you are going to have the next day or so off and buy only enough booze to get you nice and buzzed but not drunk out of your mind; waking up in a pool of your own vomit in some random place.

Reminds me of Michael Imperioli's character on The Sopranos. When he was using, he was a screw up. When he was clean, he was a buzzkill. So whatever he did, he was criticized by the other mobsters.
What I would suggest is to strike a balance. Use drugs (which is probably something you shouldn't talk about online but hey...) and drink every once in a while with your friends but try not to slip and fall into hard times. But it seems as though you already do that.
In that case, you're friends are being selfish. Either they accept the simple fact that you don't always have to do what they want when they want or you part ways. You can also follow their orders which is such a terrible option I wouldn't want to give it.
We can also take a step back to gain some perspective. Drugs and alcohol are tough subjects but what if we were talking about, I don't know, Skyrim. Something particularly silly to widen the view. Would you be okay with friends who constatly bug you to play Skyrim even though you have more important stuff do to?

Sort it out with your friends. In my circle there was a period when we had an agreement to avoid it all together, it was a mutual attempt. As a result we were hanging out less often but when we did it was active quality time. Eventually active quality time got boring for some but now, unlike how it was at first, it's not a pressured topic for those who don't want to (i don't do drugs but I'm happy with alcohol btw). So if you value your friends, sort it out.

BECAUSE ALCOHOL IS FUCKING AWESOME
drinking = good times, if you're not drinking than you're pretty much a buzzkill

Make new friends. Not to be repetitive, but drugs are indeed bad. I've seen a lot of people fall really down because of them, so I don't particularly believe in being "on control".
You must ask yourself if your relation with your friends is made of somenthing more than "we get high together".
That said, the final decision is yours.

Even Pyre would tell you that drugs are good for you. You should listen to your friends more.
