Joking aside, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to quit. Don't listen to your so called friends, stick to what you believe, and eventually they are gonna understand or you found new friends with your lifestyle.

If it considers you that much then you need to find some new friends.

You really don't have to go completely clean. Some drinking now and then isn't a problem as long as you control how often you do so.

Now if you feel like you would go back to your old habits if you start again, just steer clear. No matter what your friends say, being an alcoholic or drug addict is not exactly the best life decision you can make at the moment. While I'm drinking with my friends some opt to not drink just because they don't like alcohol. I'm fine with it, more for me.

Well I'm just saying that as an option. Like Devs taking a stand in your lifestyle choice is the only way they're gonna respect you for it. And if they don't accept you for your choice then you will most likely have to get new friends.

You are friends with people because of similar interests and thoughts on things.

You deciding to quit drugs and drinking can add up to a huge chunk of personality (the personality of someone while high/drunk can be quite a bit different than when they are sober).

So really, they are just upset that you're not acting like them anymore so it puts a strain on any friendship you have.

It's similar to single friends and one suddenly getting into a relationship.

It takes a certain level of maturity to adjust to changes in a friend so most times, especially at a younger age, it's easier to just move on.

Do the responsible thing and just give me the drugs.
