what's your zombie plan?

depends as I have multiple depending on where I'm at...Home, raid roomates gun collection, take one of his motorcycles and get the fuck out of town I live in a major metropolitan city(San Jose), so staying home is the last thing I'd ever want to do. Work: Run to Sporting goods and grab a machete, hatchet, bat, and/or pry-bar, then proceed by filling a backpack with .9mm, .45cal, and various gauge shotgun shells.(since most pistols are either .9mm or .45cal and shotguns are fairly common.) I'd then take a bike and get going. I'd head east to get out of the city and then into the surrounding hills and then head south to meet up with my brother before heading further south to try and reach my parent/grandparents, where I'd stock up on M.R.E and head out to the desert to wait until it calmed down. If it doesn't "calm down" then I would move to the central valley clear an area to farm in and send the rest of my life there. Now obviously I've planned for variations, but each part is design for necessary split up or moving with/without planned for persons.

Are we talking, 50% of the world is zombies? They're all over the place and you have to do something?
Probably form a group with friends and family and set up a system so that we can protect the place we're staying at (wherever it is) and head out to get supplies and maybe shoot some zombies for lulz.
But if we're talking about an outbreak that isn't severe, that the army could probably handle, I'd just go about my normal routine. Though I'd get a good gun and lots of ammunition. Maybe stock up on food and water and such, in case things get worse.
If a truly horrible zombie outbreak were to occur, we'd all be doomed. There's little we could do. If the armies of the world couldn't handle the zombies, what hope would citizens have?

about a year after the outbreak...half of population is dominated by the infected...hell i would become a mercenary or a bounty hunter to make moneys that time...

Drive my car to the near by car dealer break in and steal a large 4x4 pick up truck. Drive to wal-mart raid the place for food and provisions(Colman stove and plenty of propane, raid the propane center at work, head to a gas station and pump as much gas into gas cans as I can. Drive to a gun shop break in grab a 12 gauge, two .45's 2 9mm's and a 22 with all the ammo I can carry. Drive Lowes grab a generator, and tarp, drive to best buy get a TV, DVD Player, PS#, Xbox 360 Nintendo Wii, and an ass load of movies and games. Cover the bed of my truck up with the tarp to hold all my goodies, go pick up some family members steal another truck or two and repeat the gas and weapons runs. Then proceed to my uncles cabin in the mountains. The hilly terrain is hard to traverse on foot so I'm relatively safe. There is a lake near by and people near my uncle have a boat, so I'd use that to fish and my uncle has a small cleared piece of land that he uses as a large garden.

But I don't live around those folks.
I'd probably gather the various machettes, axes, etc, that I have in my house and shed. throw them in the back of my mum's truck, and probably go to Michigan to gether up friends of mine, then probably to canada or at least a less-populated area.
Always a good policy to go were people arn't when people are the problem.
At one time I thought it would be a good idea to hole up in a Wal-mart, but those are open 24-hours, and so large that you wouldn't likely be able to get it clear of all the infected. And if it happens overnight, maybe you could do the cliche, and go to a mall, but I've always thought a mall had too many weak points were even stupid/slow-type zombies could get it.
Which reminds me of another good point, the plan would have to be modified slightly depending on the type of zombie. There are slow and stupid zombies, and there are zombies that can run and eventually learn.

Reading the Zombie Survival Guide can help you out in a situation like this.I actually I found that book to be rather erroneous in its "information" of zombies. i.e. Ignoring basic biological need of body in explanation of the zombie menace, while not refusing to acknowledge the supernatural aspect of zombies. Mind you its section on surviving zombie apocalypse is rather useful and diffidently worth a read.
