Notice that she isn't free from damage until invoked as said by article. Regeneration is possible, but what good will that do if she can't fight back? Vader can probably also strip her of everything she's got with just the force (Including the Avalon). What better way to defeat an opponent than to strip away all their equipment?

saber she has thee avalon and she has plot armor...

yes but once invoked then it's over it all depends in their real time battle. Vader wouldn't know about Avalon and Saber wouldn't know about the force. Avalon was hard to invoke in fate since it wasn't with her from the start and it was sealed inside Shirou. If it was already in her possession I doubt it would be that hard to invoke it.

Doesn't matter. Hard or not, invocation needs to take place and there needs to be a voice. Seeing as how force choke is Vader's signature move, it's not hard to believe he'd go for it first.

That's no fun, they could at least have a dramatic saber battle before he finally decides to choke.

Yes but remember in Vader's fights he doesnt really choke them immediately. In fact he only uses it to people he already defeated and uses it as a finisher or to his comrades who he didn't favor. He wouldn't be aware of Avalon, and once he is it's already invoked.

Seems the patterns suggests that he uses it on non-force users more often. Saber seems to fall into a non-force user category.

EDIT: Also, as mentioned earlier, it's his signature move and is apparently his favorite skill in my recent read.

You people are forgetting that Vader wields the ultimate distraction technique.
