What do you live for ?

Basically, I am asking if you have a goal in life and, if it doesn't bother you, to share it with us here.

I've been wondering for a while now what would be mine (since I'm in my last year of high school and all that...). Surprisingly, I found myself none.
I had just realized I'd been living all these years just for the fun of it. Then I started searching for one. I can't say it is a definite one, but I do have found a goal.
I want to change the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and, the entire human race, like MJ tried to heal it. It feels weird but, actually, all I want is to have even a little good effect on this world. I want to leave earth telling myself "ah, I did it. It may be little, but the world my young ones will live in will be just a little better... and that's already a lot".

And so, how about you ? do you have something you absolutely want to do, or anything like that ? I'm curious.

I'm a kite with no strings so I don't really have any definitive goals other than just living to see another day.

I haven't really given much thought to what I live for. I guess right now I'm just living to have a good time and get through an undergraduate degree.

I want to finish my book. Even if it never gets published, I could say I wrote one. Not a grandiose dream, but it's all I have at the moment.

I have many dreams, and many goals in life, and many regrets.

So what do I live for?

I live for life itself, meaning I can enjoy this life with what time I have and then disappear like the rest. I can do what I want in life, and I am also thankful for what I am living for.

One does not need to be specific if they wish to give out a simple answer, if they just wanna chill all day then we'll accept their answer.

If no one has the answer, then find one, get involved, because everybody is able to find their own answer in what they are living for.

I can only second this, and thank you for your wise answer.

Hm, I guess right now I only really care about right now. But I do feel that I'd better keep in mind that there is much more coming, I've seen practically nothing in this world. I'm eager, I want to know just what can this world offer, what can I grab, what will I suffer.

Go for it ! Actually I've myself decided that I just had to write one too, because of a relative of mine who inspires me way more than I can express ^^

The final end:
The City of Tacoma will be on the map. I started out simply wanting to live there, but things have evolved beyond my own control.
I envision a land of firsts. The first FREE university of the 21st century. The lowest unemployment rate since 1913. The most efficient public transit system on the west coast. The first city to operate independent of the national electricity grid.
The only city to accomplish any of this without pushing the underclass out.

The plan:
-Become a powerhouse financier/statesman/lawyer/educator/entrepreneur/godfather/philosopherking.
-Take no shit.
-Focus on accomplishing the dreams of others.
-Find a woman who is capable of stopping me.
-???
-Renaissance v2.4

Now, "What do you live for?" is a completely different question:

I am the hotline. The fixer. "Mr. Hxxxxxxx"
If I croaked today, who would hold my friends together? Who would push Occupy to the next action? Who would wake my neighbour before work call?
If I don't throw the first stone, who will?

(And, half the city owes me a cigarette.)

I guess my goals in life are what you would call the basic five:
5.Graduate college
4.Obtain a job with great benefits
3.Finding that special someone to spend the rest of your mortal life with
2.Have and raise children so that they can find their place in this world
1.Have a fun and enjoyable experience before its your time to go

... travel, I guess? Pick up my guitar, go to new places, see new sights, meet new people (and the Fakkuza here, of course), and just... be free...

Officially I live to pay back some of the good deeds done to me and show gratitude to those who deserve it. I was a useless teen and now I'm useless young adult, but when I (hopefully) stop being useless and have money I'll use it to take care of my aging parents and see that my friends have it good. A lot of people have invested in my wellbeing, financially and otherwise, and I'd like to think their effort wasn't in vain.

Unoficially I live for good food and pornz. Hedonism is the shit.

I envy you. I can tell you that I see the need to be married by the end of this decade and before I can even achieve that I need to get a job.

My reason for living is to enjoy what the world can give me and sit back with satisfaction when I see that I have made an impact on my surroundings and the people around me.

Live is a wonderful gift. If you are living, there is so much you can do. And I am made to believe that in order to continue doing that, I need to get a job and get married.

For now, I just wanna have fun. Enjoy life.
But obviously I wanna have a family too.
2 kids is enough, a boy and a girl.
And a decent job where I can save up for holidays with fam.

You don't exactly need a job to get married but just contribute your own part fairly in a lifetime of commitment.

That might be silly to some people but I love the idea of being a househusband if the opportunity was there.I love kids and if I could spend both day and night taking care of them as my responsibility,I would.

Like the hell you can change the world.. oh and, I don't have anything particular, just trying to live my life in it's fullest, so I don't bother regretting over my death.

I live for the sake of living. For making the world a better place. For building a good life for my future family. For happiness and the promise of a better tomorrow. Every day gives me new challenges, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't believe in a perfect world, but I do believe in a damn good one.

I will throw fireballs one day.

I wait for the day where adventures come to life and reality bends to the will of greater forces. I lay in the shadows waiting for the world to tip upside down as our legends rain down on us and life finally becomes interesting.

The only objective for me up to there is to prepare and be confortable in the mean time.
