Why do you like Hentai more than Porn?

i like the story, the realisticness, and the utter ridiculousness of some hentai manga. yeh, i prefer it to porn

When I had open Internet access for the first time, and the option to choose between both, I slowly gravitated towards hentai. Then I just kept going back and forth until I noticed my collection had more H than porn...

When I think about it, it was just the fact that I got more enjoyment out of H than I did out of regular porn, despite some movies being extremely appealing. I wouldn't completely discard porn out of my roster, but it just doesn't give me the same satisfaction that H does.

Better story, better variety (tentacle porn anyone?), it's actually an art form since people really draw the characters and animate them.

With real porn you run the risk of people not looking good, while hentai it's just down to the style of the hentai and decisions of the animators, which can be tweaked according to fetish, basically. Plus hentai tends to be far more theatrical and plot-driven, and even when the plot doesn't make sense or is somewhat shallow (hentai-logic) , it's still more entertaining and well-performed than porn. I see hentai as far more visual erotic fiction, rather than porn, which is basically "here, tits."

it really depends what i fancy at the time, although 80% of the time it will be hentai. Generally because when it comes to porn most of the actresses are incredibly fake and it's just really off-putting. There are certain production companies through, for example x-art, that do some really high quality porn with actresses that're there because they really want to be, they're not done up with mountains of make up and fake boob jobs etc and it's just generally good!

To be honest I don't give a crap that porn doesn't have story because I'm not there to watch a movie, I'm there to jerk it and go on with my day. Quite a few points being made here are biased which, obviously, comes at no surprise. The funny side of it is that the same points could be made on the other side of the house.

Story seems to be a recurring one, for example. It does seem that porn actors lack threatrics which is understandable but what about hentai characters? Aren't they blank slates painted on? Isn't it always a shy girl? Or a girl who hates him but then loves him? Or isn't the guy shy and awkward? Or mean and dominant? When it comes to acting, it seems originality fails on both. The anime characters might win in quality of their performance but they have a barrier between the voice acting and the hentai; and, if it's simply manga, they have no barrier at all. When it comes to story and plot points however, the hentai logic thread in this forum somewhere ought to answer my point.

The other point is the shallow and fake aspect of porn. This one is a bit odd because I always thought (and think) that the best thing about porn or hentai is the fact that they are unreal. Real life sex acts are always boring, terrifying or hilarious. That's why, I submit, people are into those things. Because we can experience a fantasy that we will probably never fulfill or, if we do fulfill, it won't be as good as one expects. On the porn side of the house you have the hot teacher and on the hentai side of the house you have, and this is my next point, lust filled tentacles and bird girls. To recap, it does seem odd to call porn out for «fakeness» when a) fakeness might be a good quality and b) if anything, hentai is even more fake.

Again, I think the fake aspect is good. Naturally, it's a subjective claim but I prefer porn or hentai to be glamorous, colorful and over the top. To some people that translates as «fake». But the idea is that if I wanted true sex, I'd step in the midnight bus, watch out for puke puddles and enjoy the show.

If I wanted to defend why I like hentai more than porn (which I don't because I don't) I would say this: the main reason I watch hentai is to fulfill my fantasies and since hentai is drawn I can safely and freely explore them whereas porn has limitations for being done by real people in real places.

Live-action porn grew boring kind of fast for me, and large part of it was because it's just too...well, normal, sort to speak.

Hentai is an animated medium, and therefore, you can do any cool/depraved/sick/awesome shit you can think of provided you have the enough budget and appropiate team (VAs, animators, artists, etc.) to produce a hentai animation. You're not constrained by an actor's/actress' physical limitations, you can set it anywhere (fantasy, sci fi, sci fantasy), and you can hit an ever wider range of fetishes while you're at it.

For instance, there's no way live-action porn could've churned out something as glorious as Dark Knight Ingrid. Unless they used extremely cheap, PS2-tier CGI for the orcs/demons and cheap props for Kiryuu's tentacles, and gave crappy-looking implants to the actresses.

So, in short, live-action porn is boring, hentai can be much more "imaginative", so to speak.
