90% Chocolate

So I walked into the groceries store and was going to buy some bread, then I saw this dark chocolate bar on sale and decided to but it. It was the Lindt Excellence 90% Cocao Bar. When I got home I tried a piece, and man was it weird. I don't hate it, its just too intense for me. Don't get me wrong I like dark chocolate but this was not what I was used too. My roommate loves it, she said its something you have to get used to.
Well I wonder how many of guys have tried this before? And did you like it?

Most dark chocalates are bitter though... >_>
I personally try every chocolate bar I can find. I love experimenting so I've tried chocalate bars with bacon, with chili peppers, and even with wasabi. They are all satisfying in their own right, but I think I'll stick with a normal chocolate bar whenever the urge hits me.

[font=verdana][color=green]I've had 85% before; it's very bitter. I liked it, but you can only really have a couple of pieces at a time. But, that's how chocolate should be enjoyed; little at a time.

I enjoy extrmely bitter Godiva 87% , of course as Sam mentioned with chocolates this dark you can't be munching down a whole bar at a time, just a chunk is fine, I haven't tried that type of lindt chocolate before but I'm sure it'll be in the same way.

@samravster&darkhilt, yeah I don’t imagine anyone eating it by the bar it’ll be overwhelming

I just eat the beans.. fun fact.. chocolate is only sweet because they add sugar and milk... real chocolate is bitter as fuck.. it's a base.

I've had 90% Cocoa bars before...that shit's bitter.
I find myself sprinkling a bit of sugar on it to balance it out.

Ehhh... Swiss chocolate is famous for milk chocolate,so a soft moderatley sweet taste is the most original thing! Since I've tried everything Lindt&Sprüngli, Frey, Milka and every other swiss maker has to offer I would say that the classics are still the best, so basically for me a normal Lindt chocolate has the best taste. France was the first country to produce chocolate as we know, Belgium and Switzerland imported it shortly after, but the swiss put a huge amount of milk into their chocolate so basically a sweet-bitter taste should be more a thing in France and Belgium. Swiss style is with milk and I perfer it that way! <3

I've always loved Belgian milk chocolate. Dark chocolate I'm not a huge fan of, I just mainly use it for cooking.

90% seems way too bitter for me...
I normally, being the stingy student I am, take the imitation chocolate for my baking, but tbh, i would love to try baking with a proper choc with a higher percentage, apparently its meant to be better for you as well...

I had a bar of 100% bakers cacao. My mouth wanted to screams bloody murder for how bitter it was, it tasted like chalk to me. :<
I'd rather have sweeter chocolate, though I know its not as good for you.

I like dark chocolate but I'm not sure how dark I can go I normally just eat it when a friend buys me some. I like how it lingers in your mouth.
