I don't think I tried it before, but I usually don't hate dark chocolates, but don't really like them either.

I tried 100% dark chocolate before and it was so bitter and had no taste that I spat it out in the trash can. The teacher laughed at me. So 90% chocolate is a no-go for me.

Honestly, I haven't tried it... and I never will! I dislike dark chocolate. The only dark chocolate I can stand is from KitKat. [I don't know why, but KitKat is one of the few chocolates I like.]

As much as the cacao may be for dark chocolate if you get the fruit infused ones it will have a hint of that flavor. That and you have to have delicate tastebuds I guess since ya'll complainin! I always taste a hint of something good even if it is strong~it's good to me~ I really like it.

I don't really like chocolates. they give me a rather bad headache. (there is only one chocolate I like witch is Kinder. no matter how many times I eat it I do not feel pain.)
OT: yes I did try it before. it was rather good regardless of how bitter it was. my cousin made me try a home-made Hot chocolate using that chocolate. It was good.

I like dark chocolate when its mixed with an orange flavour. yummy!! Apart from that I'm not a heavy dark chocolate fan either.
Sidenote: When I was small I mixed carob powder with condensed milk into a tea or eat it as a paste. That was yummy too
And Lindt's chocolate is heavenly

one day my mother came home with like 20 bars of those chocolates. not one of them was milk. there was chili and mint and stuff. I tried the 90% one and it was the most tolerable. not my type of chocolates

I usually eat 85% chocolate, and we always have a pack in the freezer.
They say a piece every so often is good for your heart. Not only that, but because they are bitter, they can be enjoyed as a delicacy easier than milk chocolate because you can only take small bites as a time.
Dark Chocolate is one of my most favorite foods in the world!

I like the taste of dark chocolate, but anything above 70% is really hard for me to swallow D: I just munch it inside my mouth for quite a long time trying to swallow it :< And I think its because of the texture since it doesnt melt in a same way as milk chocolate does.
Also if I try to eat more than a bite or 2 of really dark chocolate, I start feeling a bit sick for some reason :/ But dark chocolate is good in chocolate chip cookies for example :>

I tried a high cocoa percentage dark chocolate once and it was really quite bitter.
Your roommate is right, it's an aqcuired taste and it's not for everybody.

The most cacao I've ever had in a bar was in this funky blueberry thing. It was 78% cacao, and it was really bitter, but sweetened.
I didn't like it, but only because of the fruit flavoring crap.

Yes yes indeed. Bitter isn't a taste for everybody. I can't even drink my coffee bitter D;
