A good thing or bad thing?

One of my friends recently found out from his doctor that he's sterile and he can't have kids even if he wanted to. He sees this as a good thing because now he can cum inside as much as he wants and not have to worry about squat. I see this as a bad thing because he can't have any children that's actually a biological part of him. I mean, I might not want any now but later down the road I might change my mind. So what are your opinions about this? Is it bad to be sexually potent or is it something that can actually be good?

If it could help downsize the human population, some would say it's a good thing.
Though if I were the one unable to bear any children, I'd freak out. If you want sex and not kids, you could always go for preventative measures anyway.
By the way, maybe your friend only said those things to look on the bright side. Some people just aren't as lucky when it comes to giving birth, so it infuriates me how some kids these days like to go have sex and get pregnant without a care(e.g that 12 year old kid who knocked up his 13 year old girlfriend and decided to raise the kid. He didn't even know what the word 'financially' means.).

If that happened to me (or a boyfriend), I'd be so sad.
I mean, it's one thing to enjoy the risk-free sex he'll have, but really... in the long run, that's awfully sad.
He can never have his own children: that's pretty upsetting if he ever wants any in the future, or does now. :(

Good or bad, he cant help but live with it. So if he thinks its good, I see no reason to say the contrary. Specially because of what kitten said about looking at the bright side. Also I would probably say something similar if I was in his place.
But yeah, I do want to have kids someday...

All depends on the person. End of discussion.
As for me, it's bad to be sterile, as I want kids later on.

Maybe a bad thing cuz everyone here is saying "risk free sex" so he might start having unprotected sex and get like herpies or some shit like that.
so as his freind remind him that even though he cant knock her up he can still get a STD/STI

Well for your friend, this is clearly a good thing for him since he can fck as much as he wants... for me, however, I would hate being sterile. I want kids sometime in the future -_-

He doesn't really care either way because he's a bit of a player. He also tells me that he only does it with his fuck buddies so there's no cause for concern. I can warn him but in the end it's his life not mine.

Yeah and when he loses that ability to be a playa later on in life (older man = not as attractive usually) he'll regret that when some women who want kids skip over him. IDK, kind of shitty, but I don't think I would really care until I met someone who wanted kids and I wanted to be with her. I think being sterile would suck because there are always condoms, birth control, etc out there that let's you pick the time to have babies.

What I would give to be infertile. =( Infertility would be great for me personally because although I may want children in the future, I wouldn't be carrying them myself. I'd have to use a surrogate mother or adopt because there's a chance my health would go kaput if I got pregnant. I don't want to be in and out of hospitals just to have a kid that looks like me. I would much rather have the freedom and peace of mind that infertility brings.
But for other people...it could be good or bad. I agree with Maxiart. If he's happy with it, why take away that happiness by presenting the negative side? It's not as if he's choosing to be sterile, and spoiling his fun won't get his little swimmers working.

I would not want to be sterile, I want to eventually have kids someday, but as Vio said, infertility is not a bad thing, he could just adopt

Or adopt his clone
On topic, there is a good side and a bad side to being sterile
good: rape, fuck, or tickle any girl, without them getting pregnant
bad: No babies that share your DNA for you....

1. Pull off an elaborate trick on a woman who is thinking to bind you down with the lie of her being pregnant.
2. Show her one by one the papers saying how you are sterile and how you are prepared to sue her.
3. ???
4. Profit!

It's a bad thing for two reasons. no kids might suck later, and because he's not worried about kids, he may be less likely to use a condom, and therefore be more likely to catch an STD.
also, he may only be 99.99% sterile, he may have one champion swimmer just waiting for the right moment to make a break for it.

It will be a bad thing when you're married, marital difficulties may arise and you can only adopt a child. Then again, maybe some people doesn't want a child or bear one like me.

It's all down to your own perspective and opinion. For me I wouldn't mind too much, I've been thinking I'd rather adopt anyway, the thought of being committed to a single partner gives me nightmares.
