Not a bad thing in my opinion, I myself am 'half-sterile', because of a kick in the nuts, only one of them works. I wouldn't mind being sterile. In fact, I'm waiting to be 25 so i can make a vasectomy (it's illegal here to make that surgery before 25).
But as stated many times in this thread, that being a good or a bad thing is really personal.

To me it is a bad thing. Going through life knowing that I would never have a child or the experience of parenthood would probably lead me to an early grave.
As most people said before me this is all based on opinion whether it is bad or good.

I don't want any kids right now and I probable won't in the future, but when I get married my wife might want kids so if I could preserve some of my sperm by freezing it before I became sterile I'd be good, if I couldn't I'd have to think for a bit before I made my desition.

I see it as being a negative thing but sometimes youve just got to roll with the punches besides... Life is too short to let anything keep you down!

Id be very depressed if I was sterile, I only had a brother and sister, and so far they have only had girls, and not planning on having more, so if I don't get a son, my family line branch goes caput...
Yeah, also I want my grandmother to see great grand kids, (Brother and sister moved away from us) so yeah, if I'm ever sterile, I am going to be very depressed.

Anyway. I'd percieve it as bad. Cause if you really wanted, you could freeze some of your stuff, and then go get a vasectomy, so you can have kids later in life with no issue.
But that dude never can have children. Ever, which for most would be kinda sad.
