A long normal life or a short one with powers?

I already thought of that. I think ahead, not a simpleton who only sees what's in front of him. I don't understand the concept of people thinking immortality means youth, regeneration or any other kind of poppycock usually mistaken for immortality. I even posted the damned definitions.



(Not in regards to fame, but in a sense of actually living.) The power to live forever but still die? Ok, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for making sense.

Eh, I guess a long life, to much to see/do, but I guess you could with super powers...

What I would chose this is a tough question.

on one hand I would have a life of chance there is no set amount of years that I will live. What if I did not live long but died the next day. it could happen then I would hate the fact I did not take the deal. though I would still have a chance to live a long life.

On the other I would be able to have the powers I dreamed of. The power to be with the one I love. Also I can take care of my family and change the world so that they can be safe. But I would die maybe when I am 30 or 40 or hell if I am lucky 60. so maybe 20 years off my life.
I would also hurt the ones I love by my death and I would hate to leave the one I love.......so given that.

I will take the power to shape the world

I will take it and use the power to change the world and save everyone. I will die knowing that I did something not just live my life and be nothing. Also I am a Catholic and do believe in heaven but there is still a doubt so I will learn if the is a heaven and if not then I will create one; if so then I will wait for the ones I love there.

I would destroy the world with my powers before I die.

I would choose the power of having that deal or wish whenever I want, but not to die before that wish has been used. That way I would know what power I would obtain when I truly need it.

No. I like my life as it is. If I had superhuman powers, I would more than likely give up my time for the things I normally do rather than the things I wouldn't normally do. If you see where I'm coming from.

If I will be given super powers in the expense of sacrificing 65% percent of my life span, these will be the two I want the most:

1. The power to control nature- My lovely province is now being turned to a horrible city and they are chopping down all the trees and raking the lush green fields and turning all the hands they get their greedy hands into a freaking subdivision area! They are crushing the places they are not supposed to touch w/ their filthy hands! W/ this power, I will rejuvenate all the trees they have cut down and crush their freaking subdivision projects and make a huge bramble sticker bush barrier to block them out from ever returning to my province.

2. the ability to produce beef jerky out of nowhere- So that I can resolve world hunger.

for me, a long and powerless life works just fine.

it is kinda like that, the power to create and destroy basically the power of life but not as strong as a gods.
and well I don't really care what power I get as long as it can make a difference.

With time control, I can live life until I get bored with it. But then again, I can only control the time flow of the universe but not the lifespan of myself, or can I...? Anyway if I missed out on something, I can always warp time and be at the right place at the right time even when my lifespan is up.

Chose the short life with powers. Would definitely depend on how much of my lifespan I would have to give up to obtain the powers though.

powers of course, human life is short already so i'd rather just live in the moment than grow old. I would chose unrivaled intelligence so i can introduce the world to gundums!!

You could just chose a normal life, "get rid" of the contractor, then frame contract(optional), and finally if you want to change you mind later the contract is right in front of you.

A long life, gives me plenty of time to try and find out how I can do outrageously noteworthy things within my limited abilities as a human.
