8 years? Sheesh, that's a freakin' long time. Move on already! You'll be much happier. I know because I was infatuated with a girl for a long time, but I realized that in addition to it never going to happen, I really wasn't infatuated with her for who she actually was, but rather for what she represented to me, for who I thought she was. I was infatuated with an idealization, not a person.

Moving on can be really hard, even if you are fully aware that it'll nvever happen. I've had a crush on this girl going on 4 years know, and have known that it wouldn't work for three of those years. One can't just change the way they feel about someone because they want to.

Oh I know, I've been there. It is a long process when you feel strongly for someone. I wish I knew the secret to expediting the process so you could get over someone quickly. So all I can say is you have to be realistic and rational in these situations and recognize when something isn't worth the pain and isn't going to happen, as well as there being many other people out there to meet and potentially fall for. Basically you can't let your heart get too carried away.

I know the feeling man. I had a crush on a girl since middle school. Never told her and she lives in my neighborhood lol. She hot and a nice girl but I don't think it will work between us so I never tried. Kind of regret it but oh well. Life goes on.

If you still see her all the time, you should just tell her. I doubt it is going to work, but you at least need to tell her so you can move on. If you don't see her anymore, I think you are more in love with the idea of being with her than you are actually in love with the girl herself.

This point really can't be emphasized enough. People really need to consider the distinction of loving someone and loving being in love and how that applies to their situation. Trust me, it's not a mistake you want to make.

I had a crush on this girl since Highschool

I try to communicate with her during College

Now I graduated in College and already have a stable job I started to go out with her..

But things right now are not going well between the two of us..

Every Christmas I always wish she will be mine...

So it means I've been wishing the same wish for about 5years already but still nothing happens..

I want her to be mine, hoping my wish will came true this coming Christams..

Damn do I know that feeling. I knew a girl since middle school and I always had a crush on her. I still do, but I know she wont go out with me. I gathered up the courage and told her finally in my senior year of high school. She rejected me, and we didn't talk for a while, but when our friendship was repaired it sure was great not having to hide anything anymore. We still like to spend time together, even if it's not as a couple.
