Is it just me or are atheists getting more and more aggressive towards the Christians (like myself)? I don't mind atheism believe what you wanna believe but Ive been told that I needed to burn in a fire from several atheist saying that "I'm ruining the word" etc etc bla bla bla bitch bitch bitch. So what do you guys think? Have you seen this around.

I'm atheist and often wonder why Christians don't light themselves on fire with how often I hear "end of days" mumbled and thrown about at this point in time.
I've never aggressively forced my opinions down anybody's throat. Why don't you describe your experiences?

OT: I always find it funny in some cases (at least for me), when I have them need to say "Have a blessed day" or "God bless you", it happens to be a bloated clit of an atheist most of the time.
I'm not that religious, but I'm trying to be polite for fucks sake. Annoys me to no end, but as they say forgive and forget. Odds are, I wouldn't see them again, and if I did, I wouldn't bother interacting with them.

Well I remember one time I was just with some friend chillin they were 2 atheist but we knew each other well and it was fine so I made a joke. I don't really remember it as this was like last week but it confirmed my belief in God in a still jokin manner we went back and fourth then some random dude just comes out of nowhere and says "you Christin's sicken me gtfo of here you bitch" and that one line "die in a fire" now if it wasn't for my friends holding me back I would fucked his ass up but they talked me down we left and played some xbox.

so one guy getting pissed off at a semi-joking religious-atheist insulting conversation? That's an aggressive attack on your religion, your culture, your values? One guy blowing off steam?

At this point I don't make religious jokes with friends anymore out in public just in case this happens its a real pain in the ass. That's why i'm asking if its just me, could it could just be my personal experience that's showing me this or it could be more wide spread.

Oh boy I can't believe I did that. I mean, who'd be stupid enough to mistype "atheists" as "athletes"?

That's pretty flimsy. You're actively identifying yourself as Christian. If someone is trying to be aggressive or hateful, of course they're going to use that as a target. Have they identified themselves as Atheists btw? They could be from any number of faiths out there.
That's a horrible mistake, you should be ashamed. You're definitely not representing the atheists very well!

In all those incidents they confirmed if not strongly implied their atheism with lines such as "wake up and smell the coffee atheism is the best way", "pfft god fuck are you talking about" and who can forget "Your god is a prick and can go burn in a fire"

Those are pretty pathetic and I think you made them up. Even morons would use something more confrontational and angry.

You'll come across cunts all the time, regardless of their religion/beliefs. Two people do not represent the entire community.

For the record, I've been approached multiple times each year by strangers trying to hand me pamphlets or bibles. Atheists don't do that. although it would be totally awesome to see an atheist hand me an invite to go jet skiing on Sunday morning.

Where's your location? If it's the US, then this explains a lot. Lots of atheists have become quite vocal after numerous attempts to subvert law and policy with religious mumbo jumbo.

I go to a Christian school, so I'm not really around Atheist, except online.
I think that the problem is not that Atheists are aggressive, but that some people dislike Christians. They have a reason to dislike Christians, which is that Christians profess divine judgment. interestingly, Muzlums also profess divine judgement, but because of their violent reputation, they aren't aggressively disliked.
Most people will accept differences in our beliefs, but there will always be people who dislike Christianity, and we will just have to deal with it
