After a poor start to the season, my favourite club, Crystal Palace, is on an unbeaten streak. I hope their red hot form continues, to aid in their promotion to the Premier League! :)Oh Gambler, I think you will like this

Did anybody see the Man Utd vs. Chelsea match? Ridiculous.
Biggest thing first, I don't think Torres' second yellow was harsh, but I don't see why Evans couldn't have gotten a yellow, too. Yes, Evans made contact, but only enough to just ripple the front of Torres' sock; Torres' goes down like a bitch, so it's simulation and Evans has touched Torres, so it's a booking for him. Torres shouldn't have even been on the pitch, since he kicked Cleverly square in the chest, he got off lightly with a yellow.
Ivanovic obviously tripped up Young, no question; Young had a goal-scoring opportunity so it was a straight red. Ramires was the luckiest man in the park, considering no one seemed to notice the 6 fouls he commited, three of them worthy of a yellow. The referee, Mark Clattenburg, had an appauling game; he books Mikel for dissent and then trys to even out the game by booking Valencia for diving instead of Mikel for tripping him up, which was clearly what happened. Hernandez was offside for the winner, and while you can say the linesman couldn't see him - Hernandez is # 5'8"/5'9" and Cech was standing in front of him at 6'5", with Cahill to his side at 6'2" - he definitely was, and I'm sure Clattenburg could spot it from where he was.
Honestly, Chelsea could have had four men sent off, yet the way Man Utd were playing for the middle 30 minutes I don't think it would have made much difference to the scoreline. Rooney was lucky that he was somewhat to the right of Mata when he gave away that free kick, or else he'd had been off, too!
All-in-all, another bout of dreadful officiating. To top it all off, the referee(Clattenburg) has officailly had a complaint filed against him by Chelsea FC for allegedly racially abusing two Chelsea players.

The allegations are that he racially abused Mikel and used inappropriate language towards another player. The Ivanovic decision was correct, the Torres one was simulation but Evans should have been booked for intent. The goal isn't really his fault, the linesman has to see it.
It's a shame because Clattenburg is usually one of the better refs in the league. I highly doubt the allegations are true but I can't understand why Chelsea would pursue them otherwise.

I think Chelsea are just sore they're lost. If they question Clattenburg's morals, in terms of racism, then they put up his integrity as a referee to the public eye. He is one of the better refs in the league, but he is definitely a bit weird.

Arsenal were 4-0 down at half-time to Reading, come back in the second half 4-4, end the match with a 5-7.
Holy shit, Arsenal.
Holy shit, Arsenal.

Arse in leaking goals shocker. Hell of a spectacle though, but if they play anywhere as bad as that on sat, 8-2 will be a good result.

Extra time at the end of the 90 was arguable and Koscielny should have been sent off, but glad it happened as it did. Just the most incredible spectacle. Giroud and Walcott played a blinder.

Why are people surprised that Arsenal conceded 4 with a defense that barely played this year and a 4th choice keeper?

Just daily checking soccer news and realising i missed a 12 goals league cup match....
Hopefully this victory surely gonna gain more necessary confidence for them for the match against united this weekend, but they won't stand a chance if the defenders keep playing like what they did in 1st half.
Stay strong,RVP

You do know the defenders were subs/reserves right?
I doubt Arsenal will field any of them for the United game.

there is no logic in this !!

LOL
If there were such thing, Barcelona would have gotten their hands on the Super Copa Cup instead of Real Madrid.
And yes, Arsenal was a bit of a shocker, but I'm more pissed about Nani and his stupid arrogant attitude when playing against Chelsea. I prefer Ashley Young over him.

I can't understand how clubs like Chelsea or an united who spend millions of dollars every year on their defenders ( especially Chelsea ) receive easy goals like that ( the first goal by giggs) ,
I mean in the last two years , the matches between man u and Chelsea didn't contain a lot of goals until recently

Oh hell yeah, considering their squad is full of robots who has little to no flaw. This is their second golden era after all. And bear in mind, you can't judge a team's character through one match.

Did you watched the match in the Bernabéu ??
Jose mourinho squad could score more than five goals in that match
but the fucking ball wouldn't go in
also , real madrid won the league with a huge difference in points
d-do you support them ?? à¹[-ิ_†¢à¸´]à¹

Nah, in fact, I support Real Madrid, I hate Barcelona because they are simply flawless.
But again, I told you, one match cannot define one team's true quality. Madrid was simply lucky Barcelona's form at that time was shit, and they were playing the better team.
