At what age were you introduced to anime?

I was wondering what my cousins when watching when I would visit relatives in New York..Hmm..I dont really remember watching any with them but mostly being stuck on the screen watching an episode of dragon ball z. xDDD From then on I sought after it then eventually found myself watching and being interested in lots more anime.

Around 11 or 12. At that time, they showed Ranma 1/2 and Saiyuki on TV. I was mesmerised by the art style as they're different from the cartoons I've watched.

I watched all the Toonami shows like Zatch Bell and DBZ but I wasn't aware of Anime as a stand alone until I was 15 or 16.

Well, I've always watched Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Digimon and some others, but I wasn't really aware of Japanese Culture and Animes until I was... 10, I think.

I first learned the term anime around the age of ten. But the first anime that actually liked to a great extend was Kanon (2006) when i was 13.

I was 5 or 6 I think, and it was Voltron, but what really got me into anime was renting Slayers from the local video store. I really need to watch that again.

Yeah, five sounds like the age I was when I first saw Dragon Ball Z. Pokemon must have come a little after that.

The first anime I ever recall watching was one of the oldest Transformers series. I used to watch it in the morning before school when I was in elementary school (I think it was on Fox, but I honestly don't know what channel it was on). However, I chose a later age in the poll because I didn't know what anime was at that point. The first anime that I watched and knew it was anime was when I was about 12 or 13. Pokemon or Dragonball Z would have been the first on I watched (I'm not sure which one I actually watched first. That was followed by a slew of anime on TV in the next year or so: Cardcaptors (the heavily edited version of Cardcaptor Sakura), Digimon, Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star, Gundam Wing.

To anime, i think when i was 4-5, i mean back then i didn't know the cartoons i was watching were anime, but non the less, that was the age when i was 'introduced' to it.
