Best and worst of 2009

Transformers 2 was ok at best. It really did disappoint me. It seemed like it was centered around comedy for a large portion of the movie. To me, there wasn't enough action scenes in this one. I prefer the first movie.
District 9 was an awesome movie. I do agree with cat on how boring the long intro was though. After that, win ensues =]

Favourite:
Time traveller's wife: -simply AWSOME movie if you like drama/romantic/Sci-fi. It's about a dude who has a very rare genetic mutation that enables him to travel through time whenever he is too excited, stressed etc. And somewhere along the line he meets a girl and he falls in love with her etc etc. I won't spoil anything, but the concept of the movie is quite complex and original so the movie keeps you interested and in suspense throughout the entire duration. Also, there are some things most people won't see coming, so I suggest you see this movie since it's pure AWSOME.
Meet Dave: -pretty fun movie about race of "small human-like aliens" who come to earth to save their world from resourse depletion. Eddie Murphy plays the role of the Captain of the "mothership" and the ship itself, disguised as a human in order to blend in. Original and funny, Murph doing his part as good as always. Very good movie.
Good:
Daybreakers: -a vampire movie, also another pretty good concept, but it wasn't so special to me because it portrays vampires as humans with a genetic mutation/disease, and I'm very picky when it comes to vampires, as I consider them to have a mystical, mythological, satanic origin, rather than just a plain genetic malformation. Other than that it's a pretty good and original movie I'd recommend.
Worst:: -can't say I've seen any bad movies this year, since I try to avoid them. :D
