Best location survive in a zombie apocolypse
Best Location for a zombie apocolypse

Other, wal-mart is too big with too many possibilities for a breach. You need a contained area where you and possibly other survivors can live comfortably and know all exits and entrances. Before you set up base, you can always hit up wal-mart though.

IMO, another problem is the risk of other survivors going to large stores. The odds of you being the first person to think of this idea are slim. You may get too many survivors to feed over a long period of time or you may run into the greedy, hostile survivors, which are probably worse especially if they have guns.

Stay in Wal Mart until food depletes and move on to the next store. Plus I have to have guns too for zombies and crazed survivalists.

Stay mobile. Best option there is.
Sticking around in one location tends to make you fall into that false sense of security, and you WILL FUCK UP when it happens.

Just want to point out to mostly everyone that seems to want to hold up at a Wal-Mart or mall: remember that you're not the only one thinking like that. How many people besides you are going to run to the nearest store and hold up there? In an emergency people usually want to run to the nearest place that's safe or they can hold out in (I'm not even considering the fact that it might be looted). If you do decide to run to a store you'll have to share it with others that thought of doing the same as you and guess what? There probably won't be enough supplies for all of you to hold out (especially if it was looted). Better have a plan B or C or so on folks. Just a thought from thinking outside the box.

I vote fortress, although rooftop has crossed my mind previously.
In a fortress like a superstore, though, you have a lot of food and items to help out with making traps and for surviving. And you can also learn all the secret spots you could find and make if needs be.
It would just suck when you would run out of rations, so I'd need a backup plan for a vehicle and an escape route.
The problem with a rooftop sniper nest is that, depending on the weather, it could be a bit dangerous and a bitch. Plus you'd need to have a way to get food and water. As well as a few escape routes.
I'd probably just have a few people snipe out on top of my fortress.

Reading through these comments it's funny how many of you would die. Good luck fighting off zombies with your bunkers and guns lol.
Anyway, coming from someone who actually wants to live and not be some zombie slayer. I would:
A. Move to a vast yet not desolated land where the temperature consistently stays at -5 Degrees C or lower. The zombies would freeze before they would be able to reach civilization.
B. On a boat, somewhere out on the ocean until the apocalypse is over. Rotting flesh and broken limbs would make it near impossible for them to swim. They probably would also lack the knowledge and coordination since they're mindless zombies. Have fun being crushed by water pressure.

Lol I live in Canada. Where I am right now, the temperature is currently -30 degrees Celsius and it's snowing. I don't have to worry about zombies.

What about if the power goes? What if it gets too freezing and it becomes more and more difficult to keep warm?
And, in both cases, what if you run out of rations?

I'm gonna go with "Other" - namely an island (I'll just bring some supplies to fortify it). I'll be bored to death if I stay on a rooftop and I'll probably run out of provision eventually, and there's no damn bathroom. Staying mobile is good but I'm not to sure where the hell I'd go anyways. A self-made fortress, formerly a wal-mar - good Idea but people are eventually gonna flock to it coz of the supplies and when its you against very other zombie or fucked up survivor out there then your ass gonna fry eventually.

Do you know where at in your local area would you be if you had to survive in a zombie apocalypse?Well, if talking about the nearest location, I'll probably be in the nearest Airbase, which is just behind our fence. I'll probably survive there, together with my trusty 'ol AR-15 and some supplies.
