The schools are just sub-par learning centers getting rich off the name of the actual school in France. I did learn quite a bit ,but I in no way feel like some kinda master chef.

Yeah my chef used to work for them and she said the classes were to many students to teacher. And that you only got like 2 hours in the kitchen.

Man they never taught us this kinda stuff in school - and nobody bothered to supervise me when I ask or when I tried to cook something, and I'd get wacked in the head If i wasted any type of food... and so now I suck at cooking -- damn can't cook anything complex

I can cook pretty much everything but not baking. I don't even fucking know how to preheat an oven. I'm more of a stir-fry guy.

To preheat an oven you need to turn on the oven. And let it heat up to the desired temperature.

I love to cook, but I only know a handful of recipes. Most of it being a variety of cakes and other sweets.
Typically, if I am cooking dinner for myself and others, I usually just grab whatever I say, cook it and pray that it works out. Usually does.

Yes I can cook. Cooking and baking is a very important part of my life. I have a 6 foot high, 4 level shelf dedicated to all my ingredients.
I even drive all the way to New York to buy ingredients at a Japanese supermarket (although I am mainly driving to visit my sister).
I feel that nothing is better after a hard day of school then a warm, home cooked, meal before you study and do homework.

I can make some basic dishes, but nothing all that complicated or special. I'm just lazy enough to desire the quickest and easiest food available, yet active enough to make something complicated if I am bored or hungry enough.
