Well, I'd be happy to give my advice, I ain't using it.
Love and respect yourself. This is hard for us particularly, who are conditioned to believe we are nothing. So many people I have seen throw everything away for their partners. If your partner loves you for who you are, they wouldn't spend their time trying to change or train you. If they can't love you as you are, that's their problem, not yours.
It's better to be alone than to be loved for someone you're not.
While we're being sappy, It's a damn shame I didn't realize how much she meant when it mattered. The fallout of my stupidity was more trouble than any of this was worth.

Getting ready to give up on romance and live alone, close my heart from the outside world. Only thing I had to get off my chest

Sometimes I feel like I go all out in helping people because there isn't a person I can dedicate to, only to find that the effort is almost never needed.

Be careful about what you guys say about women, as 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'. =P*kneels over*
YES YOUR MAJESTY! (that's so true!!!!)
By best advice:
If you want to go out with someone, date someone whose you love for what she/he is, be sure you love what the person is.
Don't go out with someone just because you feel lonely, and don't convince yourself that you'r in love just because you want company. That's the worst insult you can give to the person you'r dating.
Also, don't go around saying you love someone when you don't even know a thing about her/him. Just don't fell in love with "yourself being in love". Grow up a little and understand well what means to love before saying it carelessly.

A bit on my own, but mostly for some "instant couples" that fall in love in like half hour after meeting and they swear the other is the love of their lives and the most important thing in the universe and whatnot. A moth later (or less), they break and then meet the "True love of their lives" like 2 days latter. Rinse and repeat. I'm not that much of a romantic person myself, but I just feel grossed when I see love being taken so lightly.

Guess that makes me an ass... or I have a big mouth... or very opinionated... or all three..... Now where the hell was I going with this again?

Assumption, and opinion. Not the truth, I'm afraid. Though, you're more than welcome to continue your line(s) of opinionated dialog, if it makes you feel right, or any better. Because you know me just as well as I know you (which is what? Like... relatively close to zero?).

Well, I actually meant that as a joke, but since you took it so seriously, I guess you really have no qualms about stating any negative opinions you may have of anyone. At least you're just being honest.
OT with what I said though, I think it's scariest when things get ugly between the women themselves, since jealousy usually plays a key factor in most women's long-lasting grudges.

I find honesty is the best policy. Whether negative or positive, if you can't find that you're willing to come forward with your opinion, than nothing gets solved... or it blows up, whether it's meant as a joke or not. That goes for anything, including romance (<- My effort to stay on topic).
As for jealousy, I find it a rather petty emotion. Sure, I find myself dealing with it my fair share, but at the same time, I can come to terms with what's making me feel jealous. It seems most people can't do that, and it's kinda sad. Not to say denying the privilege to a human emotion is right, but I think most people need to learn to deal with them (that is, our emotions), rather than let it overcome them (a person).
