Computer or Laptop
Do you use a Laptop or a Computer

I play L4D on all low settings on a 2006 HP model Pavilion 6700 series laptop, and I'm able to get by. L4D2 is impossible.

Laptop for me, since they are powerful enough to handle everything I work with, including light gaming.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61p and I just love it :D
So computer....
I was under the distinct impression that a laptop was also a computer... must be my mistake :P

I think the TC meant desktop or laptop. They're both computers with different purposes.Hence the " :P " smily... :)
no point in me not having some fun pointing out others mistakes.

I prefer a laptop.
laptops now days have most of the capabilities of what you see in desktops. Plus, with laptops, you're not stuck in one place but are able to go where ever works for you

Interesting to see notebooks taking the majority. I suppose this reflects the market for students. Hey, easy cash I guess. Heavy duty works best for me, but for exclusive gaming systems I admit I prefer the portables.

Agreed, your argument seems flawed, and the powerful alienware are usually not that portable..

Uh by "exclusive gaming systems" I meant consoles, and the like. I don't like this console gen, and it's made me prefer PC. Wii's enough to be last gen, I can emulate it easily. Out of place comment I guess.

Laptop is a subset of Computer, so a "both" option would not really be meaningful...
Now if someone had just given the "desktop" option, then this poll would make sense, and we could also have the "both" option :D

the only reason i voted for computer instead of a laptop was because im too broke to afford a laptop right now or otherwise i would have chosen laptop.

A laptop is a computer. Shoulda been desktop or laptop.
I prefer a laptop due to portability. Though I have dropped mine six times already...
