I also once had a friend who showed an interest in dating me, despite me telling him I didn't see him in that way. Finally, one day I gave in and we went on a casual date to see what it was like. But it was weird. He reminded me too much of my dad. And I dislike my dad. Dx
So later on...
We're at a party at my best friend's place. I told this guy friend of mine that I wanted to remain friends and he said fine, and decided to share his Captain with me. He made my drinks. And they were rather strong.
At the time, I was used to drinking beer rather then liquors. So I, of course, drank too much too quickly.
I recall being in the bathroom, at not even 1AM (so lame) and forcing myself to puke because I felt so horrible. I blacked out after that.
And could only recall tidbits...
My best friend at the time making me a bed on the ground and removing my glasses. And someone lying next to me.

Later, I woke up again. This time to said person next to me actually moving me to straddle them.
Not cool.
It was the friend I told off before.
So I rolled off and found my glasses. Then mumbled something about needing to use the bathroom and crawled out of the room.
I sat outside the bedroom, feeling as sick as ever.
Another friend of mine (this one I was actually rather close to intimately but it was rather undercover then), came over to ask me what was wrong. And he went and got my best friend. She helped me to the bathroom and I told her what the other guy did.

So she made me a new bed in the living room.
She told me that she would tell the guy whats what. So I went to bed. The guy seemed rather down.
I woke up at 7AM, with someone next to me. I figured it was the guy I was actually secretly intimate with, but no. It was the other guy.
So I went and laid down in the kitchen. He soon after got up and left.
The end.

I honestly don't think I have ever read anything so tactless before in my life, clearly with that approach, he was not going to get anywhere. Thankfully I have really never been in the position you are talking about. I'm usually pretty good with reading the signals of the people I interact with, and vice versa.

...if you're going to necrobump, at least add new content/stories to the thread.

LOL The point I was making with my comment is that if a person is able to properly pay attention to the signals given off by the people around him / her, these types of situations can be avoided. It helps to be really clear also, i.e. "I'm not interested, but thanks anyway". The op asked if anyone else has been in a similar situation, my response is that thankfully it has not happened to me, and I explained why.

Or because I'm just perceptive and I make a point of trying to be as clear as possible as I can with people (so misunderstandings like this can be avoided)? I have never once claimed to think that I am almighty, or that I do everything correctly. I am human after all, but I do try to be as clear and concise as possible. Apparently, that seems to bother some people on this forum. I apologize if I've offended you.

I can't really say I've been in a situation where I've went to far, or rather a situation that went too far that I couldn't mend.
However I was in a situation (at least one I can remember) when I was about 12.
I was visiting family in the south and I had literally met this girl (daughter of a family friend) that night. No matter where I went, she would always follow me, and once when I had to tried to pee, I had caught her peeping from the window (it was awkward).
Then later that night, she borderline tried to have her way with me, and was kissing and feeling me up. I had absolutely no clue of what to do or how to even react because she took my first kiss and and all that jazz in a matter of minutes. She got bored after a bit since I was in shock and just left me there in the ground. Haven't seen her since.

He sounds so lame. I don't get how you agreed to meet him after the first time he mentioned he wants to see your breasts. I would've rolled my eyes to him and walked out that minute.

earlier in the school year these few guys would keep flirting and hitting on me even though they knew i was going out with someone and they would totally disregard him. One guy tried to get fresh and grope me it was awful :(

Both meet, Date and yeah.

So as time went by, I grew depressed and more as the months went by. I began to talk about suicide, and how would she feel and whatever.
She offered little comfort, So I assumed that she will eventually comfort me til my depression period was over.
But I felt like she didn't want to get involved.

I wasn't like "I'm Slicing Wrist right now, Please take care of me!" I wasn't all that serious...
She eventually started cheating on me and broke up with me.
Was I depressed? Of course...
Was it my fault that I pushed her away, maybe.

It's really a shame he made such a snap judgement like that just based on a photo (which in my opinion can't really do the potential attractiveness a person has justice -- since imo how a person carries themselves across through interaction really defines this). You guys had a decent basis of common ground, he should have made somewhat of an effort to keep getting to know you, perhaps meet up a few times in person, and then see. Shame really, but it's his loss.



This person clearly wasn't mature or considerate enough to be in a relationship with you in the first place, and even though the circumstances of her leaving was shit, I'm glad she did (you are *much* better off finding someone who will actually be there for you if you are down, and will be willing to stand by you and support you -- not someone who just seems to be immature and unable to handle it when her significant other is having troubles). A successful relationship needs mutual support and understanding (the whole point is to be in a position where you are helping to improve the quality of someone's life, and vice versa), without those ~ it's a lost cause.
