Dakimakuras anyone?

Evening Call is definitely my favorite circle these days. They put out so many fantastic products, ship internationally, and have exceptionally good service. Here's my haul for the day. ^^

Shashin, I'm bummed I didn't pick up that Lili cover from Evening Call, but happy to see someone got it. This is one of those instances where I hope they open it back up because I definitely did not have the money for it then. Well, I still don't have the money for it now either. You'll have to post some shots of her and the BMG. And what's that cover on the bottom left? >:3

Yeah I'm playing D3. I didn't order anything from evening call so I feel so left out with the latest batches everyone's getting ;( Did get billed for the Takumimakura Hisasi cover today by amiami, but won't be getting any big shipment until late June probably.

hey does anyone know of any 43x63 dakis. i can't get enough of the one i have (mainly because of the pic tho, thx again shashin, you ROCK!!!). i like the smaller size (i find it easier to deal with).

Unfortunately, I don't think they're that common. Or at least I haven't seen too many in my years of collecting. Searching 枕カバー on YJA might yield more results, but it has the unfortunate side effect of including all normal dakimakura covers too. You might also be interested in cushion covers, which are usually 90x90. You can find those by searching クッションカバー (Link to the anime section selected.)

I know of maybe 2-3 pillow size covers other than the Blueberry ones, but I'm not sure how easy they would be to find these days.

the only thing i don't like about the 43x63 is the stiffness of the particualr pillow i have(not soft at all) definitely gonna hafta get another one...

What is up with this Hatsune Miku cover? I have seen this up for sale on SMJ and Mandarake for awhile now, and why is it so expensive?

Because it's an AnkoKoubou (one of my favorite circles - they're known for their explicit work) event exclusive. There are actually three versions of it. The normal version, the normal version with glasses, and the ero version. The with glasses version sold primarily at C81 and the normal version only had 2-3 pop up on YJA total (those 2-3 sold for 50-60k a piece) while the average price for the glasses version was probably about 35k. Then My Wife and another event were held like 1-3 weeks later, and the ero version was introduced along with some of the normal version selling, too. Very few of the with glasses version sold, so the price jumped up, while the price of the normal version dropped a bit, and the ero version sold for around 35k-40k. The cover hasn't had a weborder, so all of the copies on Mandarake/YJA are from those 3 main events, and probably whatever other events that they've participated in since then and had a bit of stock at (probably only a few at most.)

TL;DR: It's an awesome cover done by a popular circle that only sold in limited quantities at events.

On another note, as none of us own the normal version, we actually don't know what the differences are between the normal and ero versions. My best guess is more juice, and possibly a varied expression on the backside, but I haven't been able to confirm either thus far.



Yeah, the did both a blue and a red version.

Is it a Cospa pillow? I have a smaller-sized Cospa pillow and resting my head on that shit gives me a tremendous headache it's so firm. :(

na, it's a muji pillow. it's weird; it's firm, but if you squeeze it, you can almost like....mold it. then it'll expand back into it's orginal form. not a bad pillow in general...but not good for dakis, i must say.

I got mine for 35k through SMJ, so it probably would have evened out a bit with the 40k one from Mandarake. It's definitely an expensive cover to buy, but it's easily one of my favorites now, so I'd say it was worth it in the long run. I'm still really hoping they do a web reception for it eventually, but it's not very likely, unfortunately. :/ I'd love to pick up a second (or even a third) copy of it.

i thought it was the nicest by far (even tho i usually don't go for landscape-type ones). that second one was pretty damn cute (but way too cheerful/happy for me in the front side). the last one was pretty lookin' too, but i like to have a worksafe side (plus my favorite one was still better imo). but all of the ones on my page are 160x50s!!! boooooo....

Definitely a good choice; I really wanted that one myself and they've done some other good stuff too, if I remember correctly. The final one I like a lot, and it was done by one of my favorite artists.

tho i like the idea (good way to scope out new dakis). i predict that if this game goes on too long, a mod will wanna move it to IB for forum games, lol. but it'd be nice if everyone did it once.
