To begin with, my country was recently insulted by other country. They threw shits to the embassy building,burn flags, shout slogan etc etc. So i have received a mixed response from fellow friend. By not bounding to any political or region groups, i was requested to make a survey by my lecturer regarding a response, and given the authority to respond to this event, what will u do?

I don't give a fuck. This is similar to retards from texas getting all pissed off because you talked shit about their piece of shit state. Do you really care that much about people's opinion of the area you live in? Fucking national pride bullshit. It's stupid taken to a different level of stupid. Not really, I insult my own country all the time and point out as many unpleasant observations as I can muster. There's no shortage at any given time of things to bitch about. We may be 'the greatest nation on the Earth' â„¢ or some nonsense, but that doesn't really mean much outside of propaganda. I genuinely laugh at most foreigners pointing out what should be so blatantly obvious to the average person.

I don't mind if it is warranted, like for example hating on America because we are pretty much fucking up the Iraq/Afghanistan wars. Heck, I'll even join in. But when the hate is unwarranted I'll try to defend my country as much as possible. Still, haters gonna hate so sometimes the best thing to do is:

I mind it if it turns people to violence and ignorance. If someone says something stupid like, "all French are assholes," or something, whatever. It's relatively harmless as far as generalizations go. If you throw every person living in a country into one category, though, and seek to do violence against them, then yeah, I definitely mind.

I hate my own country, so I pretty much agree with anybody when they insult the UK.
What I find amusing though is that every American person I've spoken to online and said I want to live in America they always appear surprised, us British guys must be known for hating Americans or something then. *eats a crumpet*

If the claim is justified, then insult away. I might even join in.
If the claim is just bullshit, then I might as well ignore it.

As to how would I respond to the situation depends on the situation itself.
If the people are insulting my country because my country has wronged theirs (in my perspective), then I would not stand by my country.
If the people are insulting my country because of baseless reasons, I'd ignore them, unless of course they were doing more than just insulting and committing acts of violence. (But then that would be another issue?)
To blindly support your country in any scenario is to show that you have nothing but zeal.

My country is not unique, we make mistakes just like every other country. Bigger perhaps because we are a large country
Someone says something about another countries human rights or freedoms or whatever and the country ignores them
We don't cause we have a bunch of politicians who worry about our "Image" and we fall all over ourselves making nice
These attacks if you want to call them that will go on forever and every country will get a piece of it
Difference is we are a nice easy target
As long as it stays at the insulting stage it is a good safety valve
When it gets beyond that. They had best remember that American civilians for better or worse possess more firepower than any other country

Initially No but secretly I do feel a bit bitter untill I remember the absolute arseholes that live here so I go full circle and get back to not being insulted again! (I was insulted by my own countryman, He argued that I wasnt REALLY Welsh because I didnt speak the language so in the end I dont really give a shit, These are the kinds of motherfuckers that live here)

But I do get mad when people stereotype and make themselves look like asshats.
