Do you need to study before taking tests?

I never got the concept of paying attention. Instead of those, I study from 2 or 1 nights before the evaluation date, and get good marks.

I can memorize something the moment I write it on a paper or anything that I can write on, it just stay up in my mind. I can still memorize it by image but if I write it, it will be 100% accurate. The only thing I suck at is Mathematics. So there was no reason for me to review and study at all. This is me 100% and that I always fall asleep in class after i take notes so they are stuck deep in my mind. >.> but I always fail math it's not my thing...I only ever pass the tests if the teacher gives me a 2nd chance at takeing it.

Hmmm, I seem never need to study for some reason and always get above or more than passing mark. Just last minute review and i m set to go. Well, i still think if i study enough i would pass with flying color, but its a hassle so I'm fine with what i get. You lose some, you gain some. Hahahahaha....

I feel the need to study before I take any kind of exam. Does that mean I always do? Not really. I only study on the things that I have no confidence in, but things that just revolve around mathematics and sciences just come easy to me, and I don't feel the need to study. There are other subjects in which I may struggle and feel the need to study, save the aforementioned ones I am confident in, I need to study. Or rather, I should.

Sometimes. I'm behind on reading some Anthropology stuff that I really don't want to read and there's a test on Thursday. Prof. is pretty quiet about what type of questions there will be... so I'm not really prepared. "grumbles"

Well, I used to be able to pass tests without studying. Then came high school. Then I had resits and failed those. Then I had to study.

Nope, I pay attention and ask any questions on the topic in class and fully understand it so studying isn't necessary. Plus we do needless reviews in class so I pass with flying colors.

Unlike you oh-I-can-see-hear-memorize-everything-at-once guys, I study and sometimes study hard for my exams, and sometimes just plain studying and doing homework. And I'm pretty sure the average person doesn't just, "Oh, I never study because I memorize everything at once."
I'm an accounting major, so it's all concepts and application, which requires rote memorization and tons of practice. I might not be a genius, but you could say I'm a genius at hard-working. GPA of 3.65 of hard work.

I never study and really that's a stupid thing for me to do since I'm the type of person that does benefit from it.
But i'm lazy as all hell and it drives me mad even trying to sit down and do it.
Fun fact though, I did one of my high school exams slightly drunk, it's kinda funny since this was for one subject that was split into different tests and in one of the tests you see my score sharply scored low.
Man tests will forever be my enemy.

depends on the subject matter and the format of the test, really. Multiple choice, no, short answer, yes, essay, DEFINITELY YES.

I never study more 18 hrs before a test. I just review my notes and rewrite them and then read them out loud(alone).

Honestly Ive always been to lazy to study because i usually learn things the first time through(especially Math for some reason, though English/literature is meh for me) but what i usually do is if i have something i do struggle with i don't study but write it down once on a note book and right before a test i just look over the notebook and i remember it all.
Most of my tests I have aced but I don't get straight 100% on my grades because i'm too lazy to do most homework because it gets too repetitive for me lol
Also it helps to actually eat breakfast that morning before a test for some reason for me.

1-3 hours before the exam. Works everywhere except Zoology. I have my sadistic asshole teacher to thank for that.

Rarely flap through notes right before tests, which takes only about a minute or so. No even that for any math courses.

depends...but i prefer to read again my notes, and focus in stuff is difficult for me, and if the topic of the test is easy for me, usually i dont study...but most of all, depends...

depends on the subject to be tested on if its a major i study i study 2 day before if its just a minor i just rely on my pooled knowledge :3
