Do you think Fakku! will ever grow to the size of HongFire?

(psst: it's an opinion of mine, exaggerated for dramatic effect. please tell me you knew that already) compared to fakku, definitely.

keeping in mind that my primary interests is in eroge (psst: i am telling you this because my preference [obviously] affects my opinions on things) hongfire is (to a certain extent) the motherland of (my type of) cartoon porn. (psst: i understand that i am just giving my opinion, i'm sure you do too)

Ah, hongfire... the ocean of hentai downloads that I have yet to fully explore.

If fakku wants to grow as large as hongfire it will need to sacrifice some of its "free atmosphere". Hongfire has more restrictions and closes itself to the online community once in awhile to protect its items...

Fakku on the other hand has less downloadable stuff but is about complete freebies. This is a good thing and attracts a lot of newcomers... until they get thrown off by some assholes in IB.

Personally I don't need two hongfires. I come here to relax and laugh at the charades in IB. Although cutting some assholes wouldn't hurt I say I'm fine with the current community... Not with some individuals but im fine with the community as a whole.

Files, everything is just payed per download or points towards premium per download, no torrents or anything really. Also limited in the scope.

Hentai, hongfire is probably better also. Fakku is just a place where people throw up english translations it seems. Even then the translation are chapters at a time over the course of months..

Most every post made to the site is from random "forum games" or spam threads in Incoherent Babbling..

Now if the goal of the site or purpose of the site was to post about other users avatars or tea, then fakku could compare...

Just because some people go crazy on Fakku's "playground"? It's not there for no reason. And it doesn't change anything about the content uploaded here.

I used to have an idealistic belief that Fakku would keep growing and stay awesome, but that obviously isn't the case. Like most things, Fakku's awesomeness is inversely proportionate to its popularity. When a good thing snowballs it gets bigger and gains momentum, but it picks up a lot of garbage in the process.

I just hope Fakku doesn't turn into a heaping pile of shit in the end.

A lot of the forums are also quite 'specialist' - Computer & Tech, anime discussion etc. Having so many people who know more than you do, even if you love the topic in question, can put you off posting. Especially, say, if it's Tegumi who's telling you you're wrong. :P

Pretty much, but so far the population growth is more or less inversely proportional to the amount of people leaving/not staying active on Fakku.

and here I thought the direct download VN section is better then many others because of masterlisting

Well it's easier to search around the Fakku VN section and we insist on better file hosts, but Hongfire's collection is waaaaaay more.

and now I just remembered I can just google "hongfire (insert game name)" and can find their game easy too. Guess the only thing nice is not hotfiles and stuff.
