Doing something bad, and getting away with it

i had a few, but most are either backfired or i got caught... i unintentionally smashed my aunt's porcelain vase while visiting her. Since her dog, a big german shepherd is always roaming around the living room, i blamed it for the fault when she asked and successfully evaded what could have been 15 minutes of intense scolding and pain under the walking stick she has. bout you guys? did something bad and got away with it?
