On the eleventh of march the European government will discus a bill that will ban all forms of porn in Europe. The bill is called Eliminating gender stereotypes in the EU.
You can read more of the article on this site. You can also find the link of the bill on that said site.

What do you think about the chance that this bill passes?
Personally, i think that this bill will be send to the garbage can.

Reminds me about a bill in France (which I think passed) where it was hidden as an attack on gender roles.
A French person commented on a site that the bill was going to eliminate "Mother and Father" as choices and use "Parent 1 and Parent 2" to describe everyone.
Such a shame that European government officials are too stupid to actually ban porn. It's a form of freedom of speech.
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think there is a bit more than just "gender stereotypes" for a reason.

Yep, banning porn will definitely prevent it from ever happening. I mean, its worked with prostitution in America
Oh wait...
P.S Also this bill could easily expand beyond porn...which is just scary

Next up: the European government discusses removing the genitals of all citizens to make Europe more gender-neutral.
This bill is stupid. Even if it gets banned, that won't stop anybody.

EU != Europe.
This probably won't go through anyway, too many of the EU countries have a lax view on "pornographic material".

So it's just the EU.
I mean I can understand wanting to ban certain kinds of porn(child, snuff, etc. etc., all though most of the time it just seems like a big power grab from the govt.), but all porn?
I doubt this will get passed.

Not going to happen. It's about as likely as a space dinosaur with shark laser for eyes bringing world peace.

Bunch of fgts that need to just enjoy the fap. Are they religious? No, not everyone who opposes freedom of speech is a Jesus(white) loving republican.
The creators of this bill think that porn gives some women a negative self image and discriminates against them. If this was a real issue they should be spreading awareness, although I personally believe it's more oppressive and harmful to the women they're trying to protect by banning all porn and advertisement that can be considered porn, than banning something that makes a few uncomfortable.

This is what happens when you let a bunch of politically correct virgin faggots get political power.
And then make your capital in Brussels.
Shame EU, shame. Stop validating those God-dammn English for once.
That said, it's probably unlikely that this will pass, given that many EU countries have already pretty lax pornography laws, or are otherwise hosts to quite big sex industries. Will be waiting for the inevitable hilarity when that gets debated.
...Still, it's a worrying trend. I wonder what will be offensive next. Breathing. Yeah, that seems like it.

Even if it passes it will be one of those laws that nobody cares about and just plain ignores.
NOthing will be gained by it besides a bunch of conservatives feeling better about their lives while they adjust their 15th century top-hats~

Because banning wide spread *insert thing or things here* always works. Yup.
See what alcohol ban did to America. It was just watered down and expensive as fuck. But you could still get it if you knew the right person to ask for it.
Also, if it passes, we'll see how quickly potential sex offenders will become real threat, because they can't wack their perversions away silently.

And no to mention there are some women trying to create more female friendly porn who would be harmed by such a bill(Also there is a possibility this will end up hurting the porn actresses/actors more than the people making it). I agree spreading awareness is a far more effective approach.

Wouldn't banning all sex be a better way of saving gender stereotypes like missionary and doggy/froggy style that are sub/dom exclusive?

If you make something illegal, people will still do it. Stop trying to control people, governments of the world.
