You get Mia, the female version of Ash.Unless it's Ashley J. Williams, chainsaw sporting badass, and loyal S-Mart employee, they aren't getting me to see this.

i say give it a little bit of a chance since Bruce Campbell is kinda endorsing it, i think.
that being said, there are way too many unnecessary remakes coming out.[/h]

Yeah, he's producing it and supposedly has a cameo in it.

Yes, the "Producer and cameo" deal. You know what that means? They paid him to act like he cares, so he'll endorse a cheap remake.

Nah, it's not the first Evil Dead film he's produced and he's been trying to get it greenlit for 5+ years.

I feel what they did to Evil Dead is a travesty, it basically got turned into an Indy horror film with a low budget and no name actors. No Bruce Campbell appearance or cameo=no watch from me.

Their budget was to the point where Bruce Campbell had to buy the cheapest shotgun from some store and use live ammunition during filming. Besides, this would be the second time that the original movie has been remade. Keep in mind, Evil Dead 2 was essentially a remake of the first movie, with Army of Darkness being the only real sequel in the series. Now, Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are both producing this new movie. Seeing how hard that they've been trying to get this movie off the ground for the last few years, I'm willing to trust that Sam and Bruce are going to ensure that it'll be a great movie that'll do the original proud.

The reason why there is no humor, because this Evil Dead is a remake of the very first Evil Dead (1981) The serious and scary one...
