and um Pokemon Cards.
The Pokemon card game was good, but Yu-Gi-Oh totally owned it.

I agree with you there, YU-GI-OH totally owns in any card games. You can actually win in one turn, if you're playing Yu-Gi-Oh.

I used to be fucking serious at that shit. I would build some hardcore decks from my collection and have people play against me and I'd still own them so bad. I mentioned in another thread, I could have been a fucking world champion, but because I would have to go to great lengths to get to a place that held qualifying tournaments, my greatness was never fully realized.

I used to play Chess before I got a Computer w/ Internet. Also used to be a Genius too^^
Does anyone here know the Game of the Generals? It's a game where you need to know what your opponent is thinking or else you're screwed. Not for those whose I.Q. is below 30

Well, the thought of board games came into my head a few minutes ago when talking to a friend about them. I was a good boy and decided to do a search before creating a topic and lo and behold.
Anyway, I like the more strategic or trivia based ones. My favorite is probably Clue (Cluedo), which is ironic since I very rarely got to play it growing up or even now. I can't say I'm very good at the game as a result of very rarely getting to play it, but nevertheless I always enjoyed it.
I also like word games, Scattegories is also one of my favorites, but that is more based on word association than say knowledge in a game like Scrabble. Not too fond of Scrabble because I don't have the greatest vocabulary and I'm not a particularly good speller.

Chess. I don't play as much today but I joined a chess class only because it was an easy class to pass and my crush was there. I didn't expect it would be useful and fun.

I never played many board games in my day, due to the fact I was playing my Sega and NES alot. But when i came across them, Monopoly and chess were the games for me.

Usually a bit less known board and card games that are mostly strategy but have an element of chance as well. Oltre Mare, Dominion etc. And of course Carcassone. Does anyone know it?
I play chess sometimes too, but usually just get my butt kicked.
