First, I'd like to say that Equilibrium Eluveitie and Tyr have my respect.
Been some time since my viking period actually, so I can only remember a few from the favs but I totally recommend heorot's album ragnarök; track[/h] that got me into it. Even though I don't like the hoggish voices this genre is so popular with, these guys are my only exception.[/h]
Also some good singles I've encountered in my sessions:

So, I thought I'd voice what I think of Elvenking's music; it's pretty enjoyable. They have good instrumentals like "To Oak Woods Bestowed," "The Caravan of Weird Figures, and "Ophale" along with some good songs like "Skywards," "Moonchariot," and "Another Awful Hobs Tale." Overall, they balance between ballads and heavy music. I'm glad they do because it helps identify them among the other folk metal bands out there. I've listened to few albums of theirs and like what I hear.

I already have. It's a great album, definitely one of their best.

:legasp: I would argue that "The Scythe" is their absolute worst album and that it's exceedingly bad, but to each his own. I've had a hard time trying to like their newer stuff and their change overtime.

Honestly, I thought The Winter Wake was the least favorable album from them. I didn't really get hooked into like the other albums.

Well, yeah, The Winter Wake is also pretty bad. Everything except Heathenreel is pretty bad imo, but that's because they had quite the change in sound after that first album.
Seriously, they have never made anything as awesome as "Seasonspeech".

Their music is still fantastic, in my opinion. I have to agree Seasonspeech is one of their best songs.
Also, I really enjoy the more traditional tracks rather than the power metal ones (personal preference).
The Loser's Ball
The Caravan of Weird Figures
My Own Spider's Web
