"General discussion about general things". NEW RULE.

I sincerely wish for this "move" to have fruition. Good luck to the mods, they might need it.
I may also be able to bring myself back into posting here at random like I used to, if ever. Just to add, this is like the first random post I've made in ages! Actually, I made one just last Friday but in the following day I've checked, it was deleted along with the entire thread where it supposedly was...
@Mods: you might wanna check this thread out. It just so ballooned from a single page to 5 in like 3 days? - https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=2588&start=30 - I seriously wouldn't want the only place here at FAKKU! (where I can find some peace of mind) to become randomish or IBish...

some of you may believe this is up for debate; this thread may say discussion but this is now law, so complain all you like but as soon as you post spam prepare for it to be deleted.HentaiElder wrote...
Spoiler:
although i agree with most of the things you said HE i do think the difference between those earlier times (gamb's appeal) and this time is this will actually see mod enforcement as opposed to the others which were poster self imposed rules which were forgotten almost the instant they were agreed upon. I do support the idea, and hope with everything in my being that it goes well, but it's going to require quite a bit more work, from both posters and staff.
I'd suggest all those of us who do care and wish to see this rule enforced start reporting spam posts, anything you deem as spam, report it and the staff will promptly review it. Be prepared to find that what you determine to be spam may not be the same as what that staff member believes spam to be, but it will go a long way towards helping out Nikon and this idea. By the way, don't report things that have been posted in the past (before this thread was made) let's just start fresh from this point. I will be doing my part to alert the staff or anything i deem as spam, and I call on all those who love Fakku to do the same.
Mmm, yeah good idea. I suppose that's something I'll have to get used to. I've never really been the type to monitor others, or at least act on their actions. I do take note of several things, but never really considered reporting others due to their spam. It's the type of thing I'd leave to someone else to do. That's mostly due to me being... "too nice" and not wanting to report someone. But certainly, if I do come across posts that seem like spam or posts that are placed in the wrong section, I'll send a report.
Can't really ask for change and not be willing to work toward making it (despite how "unkind" it may be), can I? It'd be pointless/a waste of time.
Thanks for the feedback on my thoughts, Waar. Even if it's not something to thank one for, I appreciate when people take the time out to read my post that are more than a line or two. I'll +rep ya for it when I can. (No more than 24 hours from now)

I'm willing to do my part and give a hand in this. Then again, I rarely post in Random or post anything that resembles spam in any case.
Though I do think the ease of user tension that Gambler mentioned really has to with whether or not someone's being a prick or troll, because insults and flames get thrown around and the cycle repeats again.

flaming isnt illegal though, just report spam posts, this will still probably kill about 1/3 of all trolls posts anyways.

This took long enough to happen. Can we have a no posting in caps all the time rule too?RATIFY THIS RULE TO HAVE LOLLOLLOL12 LEAVE FAKKU FORUMS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*shrugs* I don't think I'd lose any sleep over that.
You aren't the only one. He is a blatant troll, which I don't care about losing. While he isn't AS annoying as most trolls, he is still a troll.

Can we please stay on topic? This thread isn't about whether lollollol12 is a troll or not.

Spoiler:
You are right, I apologize.
To comment on the topic at hand, I like the rule. Hopefully it will help keep real discussions going instead of floods of people quoting each other or comment just to say "lol" or other things to this effect.

I should add that simply quoting a user with nothing to add is against this rule, too. I'll amend my first post to reflect that.
