Ive never been too big on Death Metal, other than a few Melodic Death Metal bands and Pagan/Folk metal with Death Influences. But I will suggest a few that i think are amazing and some other Folk Metal stuff.
First and foremost there's Amon Amarth a viking melodic death metal band who im pretty much obsessed with(and they put on an amazing live performance :))
I also suggest Ensiferum, who are also a Viking Metal Band
Turisas(Pagan/Folk Metal)
Blackguard(a newer Folk/Melodic Death metal band that I didnt really know much about till i saw them live with Epica and they pretty much blew me away)
Eluveitie(Pagan/Melodic Death metal band that mixes a lot of unusual instruments in with their music, and one of my personal favorite bands)
Alestorm(Pirate Metal, very unusual sound and extremely fun to listen to imo)
Luna Mortis(not really related to the other bands that much but they are melodic Death, with a girl singer, which i think is pretty awesome so ill throw them in)
I'll throw together a list of power metal bands to check out later tonight cause i dont think thats been done yet, and its kinda my specialty.

I like rap in general. Doesn't matter if it's mainstream or not. As long as it is good, I'll listen.

Thanks everyone, so far I downloaded all songs mentioned on page one.
@Catfish, you're right. I actually am not a big fan of blues, I don't hate it, but it's just not my cup of tea.

One of my favorite artists is SHE. Genres include electronica, chiptune, ambient, classical (It doesn't seem to be limited to only those genres either). There are also traces of acoustic instruments used in a couple of songs.
Anyways, here are some examples =]
SHE's official site is located here.
You can download a bunch of his songs on it! =]

Alright, since there has been a shitload of bands suggested I apologize if I repeat anyone.
This is mostly metal of various sorts(Mostly power though), but not all of it. I've posted a few of my favorite songs with the bands, and if you find something that you like, don't hesitate to ask for uploads. Just don't wanna waste bandwidth and time uploading stuff nobody wants. :3
Edguy - One of the bands that has defined the genre "Powermetal", good shit.
Avantasia - Tobias Sammet's(Frontman/singer for Edguy) solo project, where he has more or less gathered a bunch of famous musicians. The biggest feat is that he made two albums named The Metal Opera(Part 1 & 2) which are made to - just like a musical - tell a coherent story. The first songs are therefore in chronological order.
Leaves' Eyes - Pretty unknown band(Except for Liv Kristine, the singer) that lately have been rapidly becoming more famous. They opened for Edguy a few years ago and I took a shine to them.
Kamelot - My personal favorite. I don't know what to say really, a wee bit heavier that Edguy and Avantasia perhaps... just as for the others I will post a few of my favorite songs.
Elvenking - These guys are something else, i guess they should be categorized as folk/pagan metal
Poets of the Fall
Diablo Swing Orchestra - Metal and swing, an awesome combination
Modest Mouse
Belle and Sebastian
Bright Eyes - One of my personal favorite musicians of all time.
Room Eleven - A Dutch jazz/soul/pop-fusion or w/e they call themselves, awesome music nonetheless. Especially the "Six White Russians and a Pink Pussycat" album.

You Listen to Hardstyle/techno?
I suggest Showtek, Lots of bass and awesome sound, scooter is another one.
Hardstyle Top 100
Great download, 3 songs, all one CD per song, about an hour something each, Different artists and amazing sound.
If your into that kind of thing at least.
Good for workout music, something to walk to, or just something to mellow out with.
Heres some good ones.
The link I sent you has more bass, less talking, give it a listen!
