Used to love it as a kid, but I can't stand grilled cheese now. One of those examples of your taste in food changing as you get older, I suppose.

Add a slice of Montreal smoked meat to the sandwich.... But I guess that would make it a grilled sandwich then, Either way try it.

Take a couple different kids of cheese, 3 pieces of garlic bread, place the cheese on the bread evenly, put it on a pan, bake it in the oven for like 10 minutes or so, and voila!

Its called a Monte Cristo. The Ollie Hammonds restaurant In Los Angeles used to have them but Ollie died and the restaurant closed.
This is the closest one I have found to match it.
