Have you ever been to an anime convention?

I accidentally stumbled upon the Tokyo Anime Fair this spring when I was in Japan. My friends and I went to kyoto for a week, and we heard that the TAF was gonna be going on when we went to Tokyo over the weekend. So we took the train over to the convention center (coolest place ever, btw) and just kinda walked around for a while. That's were I got my boobie mousepad ^^

I have been to my first at AWA in Atlanta. It was fun so I plan to go again this year. Lots of interesting cosplayers and cute things. yummm eyecandy.

Definitely gonna go someday. Haven't cause of school and the locations are usually in Manila or someplace far from where I live.

how i wish i can attend...

I've been to one before in Minneapolis, MN called Kakoi Con. when it was back then...I don't even know what the name is now, lol. It was alright....I wonder how a big city one would be like? Hmm.....

Mmm as much as I love anime Im not one of those people who like large crowds...pretty much anywhere.

I went to Anime North for the first time this year, and I love it! Next time, though, I'll definitely have to plan out my cosplay. I enjoyed going as a catboy, but it takes hardly any effort, and is so generic. As well, I don't have to proper physique to go as any of the really good catboy characters.

Maybe next time it'll be Zechs, or Treize?

Never been to one although I wish to go to one....however the issue is that there are no black anime characters to dress as....im sorry but Barret from Final fantasy 7 tousen and yourichi from bleach and the like dont count. I mean the only one that comes closest is swamp from coyote ragtime show and rodan from bayonetta other than that there are hardly any. on that note...I could go as stinkmeaner from the boondocks and act like him lol.

I've only been to the local conventions and they aren't that big, but there are many. I stopped going there about two years ago though, since the people who went there... seemed to have changed.

Anyways, I'd love to go to big conventions in the US (I'm not in the US, btw...)

Yep,i got into anime few months after my first anime convention.Afther it i've been to one more (it's conducted only once in an year) and this august will be the third.
Gotta say first time i went was pretty funny cuz i saw a banner while browsing and diceded to check it out with a friend,but when we got there i suddenly got scared of going in and walked around the building where it was conducted about an hour,lol.
When we finaly entered it was already time for the cosplay (it's the main event on this convention) and there was this chick cosplaying Raider from FSN and i just thought i had to watch this and so on,and so on...
One day I'd love to visit a big convention somewhere

I haven't yet 'cause of lack of money and amout of cons in my area soo... i'm going to one next year

Yep, my first Con was Momo-con here in GA a couple years ago and it was awesome since it was free admission :D

I went to Anime Weekend in Atlanta last year and hope to go again this year, it was pretty cool and I hope to go to more like anime south (was busy when it happened), metrocon, and Mechacon
