Help maybe? Please?

So... A few months ago, me and this girl just got out of seperate bad relationships and immediately got together. She had just moved here and found out her boyfriend was messing around all because he "missed her". And basically the same thing happened to me. So the first day we meet, and we are already holding hands as we walk on down the hall. The next day.... We are the talk of the campus. And a hop skip and a jump later.... We are a week before our first month. Now during this hop, skip, and jump. Both of us have been arguing with our ex's. So this last week gets a bit nasty for us. (Foreshadowing) She starts telling me i need to be the more dominate one in the relatioinship. It was probably true. but that's just not me. She had already taught me to be a bit dominate already. But i took it to heart and got mad at her... So the whole week went on and i eventually started ignoring her... and she started to become depressed from me doing that. On that friday (The day before our one month) I talked to her after we left campus and she told me she was joking about the whole dominate thing.... I called her after i got home and she said we needed to take a break from dating anyone for a while till we got over our ex's. I felt horrible for what i did to her. I haven't dated anyone since and have been talking to her constantly but she keeps going for these horrible guys who only hurt her.... I've been trying to gain her trust back these months... But keeps giving me mixed signals that she still likes me, but sometimes doesn't want to talk to me at all.... Any help or questions about the situation? :/ Update: Talked to her ealier. It's all over now. She says she loves the guy from her home state that cheated on her. Saying that he makes her happy, something i just couldn't do.... And then she said she no longer wants to hear from me. I don't understand.... They are states apart and she says he won't hurt her again....

I tried talking to her again earlier. And appearently she's going back out with the dude that cheated on her back in her home state.... She said that he makes her happy, unlike me, and that he would never hurt her again.... even though they are 5? 6? states apart? I don't understand...

What the FUCK?! The same guy who hurt her before?! I know second chances are possible, but seriously?! Do these girls LIKE being abused?! D-:<

Then again, if that's the case, I'm not surprised she asked you to be aggressive. Damn it...

They're going for a long-distance relationship, right? Their chances of sticking together again are already slim, given their history. If it were me, I'd go on with my life. Don't try to go looking for another girl, just move on as you would normally. Look into your heart, and see if you really cared about her, or just felt like comforting her because it could probably feel good.

If she comes back, don't go rushing back to her. Be casual, and make her regret going back to that prick, without showing that you can come back to her.

We're here for you, man. Remember that. This may seem like shameless marketing, but lurk around these boards a little. You'll find some really fun people here.

I'm taking this advice to heart and using it. I really did care for here, that's why this is so painful for me. And i love these forums. I've felt more welcome here than the one time i went to New Orleans. And i'm rather shy, so lurking is what i'll be doing anyway, but i get the jitters when i meet new people most of the time. :/ But i thank all of you for the help and support you have given me, even if everything didn't turned out as planned... I still thank you all.
