How many of us Otaku's have musical talent?

Well i don't know if this exists already somewhere, but the reason for this is, some asked me about anime and music etc, and i mention that through my personal experiences i know a lot of anime fans who are in fact musically talented.

Know when i mean this it can mean many thing, for the sake of this thread, how many of us have a musical talent; such as ability to play an instrument, or know music theory, etc. I don't mean ppl who just listen to music all day and thats it, sure music appretiation can count only if u can play something else.

Any way lets here who here on Fakku has musical talent, see if i can prove to my friend that we otakus have musical talent.

I can play three instruments, i know the basics, and little middle ground of music theory.

Hmmm... I'm interested in playing musical instrument since my mind plays songs that aren't written.

Problem is I lose interest.

I tried picking up the violin, the piano and recenly the guitar but it just doesn't seem to be my thing... :? So I guess I have no musical talent. I can barely even read notes. :P

I can sort of play the piano, and I can play the ocarina (thats right OCARINA!!!) alright...

I love playing the songs from zelda best of all!!!.... even though I'm not too good....

Most of the musicians I know don't. Most of the time I learn songs by ear. And play music FROM MY HEART!

or you can use TABs :p

True, but I just feel soo much more GAR by learning stuff by ear. :-D

That and it is a good talent to have when you jam with other people.

Oh yeah I also took a guitar class, and did Trooper By Iron Maiden as my final... Long story short I got a low-C in that class..-_-...

Yeah, being able to improv a solo is the best thing ever.

Hell yeah! Though, being that I am a bass player usually. (out of preference) I wish more people could do that. :(

Compared to those two words alone, you can NOT be NEARLY that bad.

I know the Basics of Piano, Random Drumming

But I do know how to play the Guitar(acoustic and Electric). Although i'm not one of the Power-Chord Users, I use some of them from time to time to play some popular songs^^

I play guitar, bass (kinda the same thing though) and some piano, that bout it.

I can sing, though im a bit out of practice.

Have a little harmonica, acoustic guitar and piano under my belt as well XD
