How many times have you gone to an anime convention?

I've been to one(in China of all places). It was a little weird due to the language barrier and because of it I missed out on any events. It was fun to see the cosplaying though.
I plan to go to my second(First Con in the States) con, Animeboston, in April. I hope to participate in more panels and events since I can understand the language. XD

I've been to four, I'll be attending my 5th one in April in Chicago, and my 6th in July in California. I was not going to attend my first one originally because I felt like I wouldn't fit in but in reality, you'll find someone/group there that you just clique with.
For those of you who don't know; the first con is always the hardest one to go to, but right that you can't wait to go to your next one.

I don't have a car and unfortunately most near me are a good 2 hours away but I know I'll go to one someday.

Hmmm. I've visited anime and comic cons three times, total. So far. It's been a nice experience, though things always seem to be kind of disorganized.
Even so, it's quite fun. It's always nice to see the cosplayers, the events and panels, check out the artist's alley, and sit in on the classes. Meeting Vic Mignogna was interesting as well, even if it was only a short encounter.
Not to mention it's a good place to find interesting and unusual goods, such as out of print manga or unusual anime. It'd recommend that every fan try it at least once. Just make sure you bring friends.

I've only ever been to one, a long time ago... I wish I could go to more.. and I really wish I could be able to experience Comiket in Japan... but I don't have the money to do such things yet...

Never been.
I was supposed to go to the most recent New York Comic Con with some friends, (one even said she might cosplay as Link), but the day came and we all had school, and not enough money for the tickets.

I been to Otakon every year since 2009. 2009 was like a trial period, went on a Saturday and was blown away. I was thrilled just to go because my ride lost his ride the night before that we were supposed to go (a drunk hit him, he was fine, car was not). 2010 went much smoother. Stayed for the weekend, paid boatloads of money, and a wench made it sightly miserable. 2011 hit and I went alone for one day. Was rather lonesome but my friend came on Saturday/Sunday and made it better.
I finally went to something else this year and that was Magfest 2012 last month. It was pretty rad and so much smaller than Otakon. I was just accepted to a University (In a Community College now) and I plan on really studying hard to boost my GPA up. Not sure if I'll go to Otakon 2012. Prices went up, and unless the guest/premiere list is looking amazing, I probably won't go.

Went to Fanime last year, was my first convention and it was a blast! A surprising number of Fakku fans too. ( I got a Fakku shirt there) No other events in the year are as fun as anime conventions, so I plan to go to every year till I graduate and when I get my car, I'll drive down to L.A and attend Anime Expo.
