I have so many in my multiple 1TB harddrives, probably over 50+ translated and untranslated Visual Novels...
If you ask me for recommendations you'd get probably multiple pages worth of text...I Absolutely love Visual Novels and I hope other people can enjoy it as well.
I've even collected some quotes from Visual Novels which used to be in my sig until sadpanda went down.
Heck, I can't bring myself to pick favourites, but one of those that sticks with my memory for a really long time would be Ever17. No H content, but an amazing story.

I played a lot of VNs throughout my time. I really enjoy how each and every VN flesh out all the characters in a way that are memorable.
Still though, my favorite VN to date is still is 'Yume Miru Kusuri' or 'The Drug That Makes You Dream'. This was my first VN that I have ever played and still the most memorable to me. I remember loving all the character routes, even though through my first play-through I had a notion of not going for any other route besides just one.
Other ones that I have enjoyed are 'Ever17', 'Saya no Uta', and 'Tsukihime'.

Well, I tried Taimanin Asagi but sadly I don't understand Japanese T~T
Good thing you don't have to understand Japanese to know what's going on xD

Only 2 so far. My first visual novel was Swan Song and that game was deep as hell. Still think about it to this day. Clannad: Tomoyo After was my second and was much more brighter than Swan Song. It's what actually got me into Clannad to begin with.
I may play more in the future when I get my new computer.

I've got many I've played, and a lot of them I've lost before finishing due to a computer crash, but I think my favorite one has to be Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no ShÅjo. Of course, the current one I'm playing that I'm really into is Grisaia no Kajitsu.

The only ones I've played are Katawa Shoujo, Juniper's Knot, and Monster Girl Quest. I highly recommend Katawa Shoujo and Juniper's Knot to those who haven't played them. And they're free!

I've played a few, the most recent one would be Grisaia no Kajitsu (Michiru is best). The next one I do plan to play would be NekoPara once that comes out

I've only played Fate/Stay Night so far, but once the translation is finally done for Fate/Hollow Ataraxia I'll play that. I'm also planning on playing Tsukihime and Shuffle.

I've lost count of how many I've played, but I'd guess it's more than 20. (Of which, I've only completely finished 1)
Even though I still haven't technically finished the 1st route, I still consider Fate/stay night to be the best I've ever played. I just wish I had the will to finish Saber's route; the ending is too painful for my heart. ;w;

I already lost count of them all. I guess enough to fill a 750 GB external hard drive and 1/6 of a 1 TB hard drive's worth. Also adding the ones for consoles too. I finished around 71% of the total number. Only about 9% of it was translated. Good way to practice or to learn Japanese.
