How'd you get your nickname?

If you have a nickname, how did you get it?

My girlfriend Cherry gave me my nickname, Jelly Kelly, because of how much I like jello, and because grape jelly is purple. Grape is my favorite flavor, purple is my favorite color, and I like Jello...

And slime girls. She caught me browsing slime girl hentai once too, though apparently all my friends who I'm about to list admitted to fapping to slime hentai in a truth or dare session.

I also know a pair of twins nicknamed Lemon and Lime, who got that name partly because of how good they go together, like in Soda, and the fact eh two fruits have similar appearances ( twinsies?), but that's not all.

Lemon likes sour things, the color yellow, and tend to add a pinch of lemon juice to her water or tea. She also drinks hard lemonade on occasion since she and her twin turned 21 a few months ago

Lime on the other hand prefers sweets, the color green (those cyanish greens like Pine and Shamrock), and happens to drink hard limeade (simply because she prefers it over lemonade and not because it matches her nickname) whenever her sister is drinking hard lemonade.

And Cherry... The woman who have us these fitting nicknames. She likes red, her favorite fruit is actually green apples, but she still loves having cherries as or with her dessert, cherry cola, cherry candies, ect. Her face also turns really red when she blushes which is why her parents named her Cherry in the first place. Yeah, Cherry is actually her first name, and a cute and fitting one at that.

I don't really have a nickname, people just call me by my first name, Patrick. The only alternatives would be something like Pat, Patty, or Rick... all of which just aren't that appealing to me.

The nickname my parents gave me is Miko. I don't know why they chose that name, but they probably didn't know that a miko is a japanese shrine maiden. I'm a guy so that seems like a weird nickname, but nobody ever calls me that anyway so I can't complain.

When I was in high school, my fellow anime/manga club members called me Imp because I was short, skinny, and a bit of a trickster just like how imps (fairy-related creatures) are described in fairy tales. Coincidentally, the first three letters of my last name spell "imp" which is kinda funny.

I was practically bald til I was 6 so my evil older brother started calling me Evan because "Girls have long hair mum, he can't be a girl!" My poor mother, she spent months choosing a specifically feminine name only to have her dreams dashed by a 7 year old with a penchant for making nicknames stick.

Worst story ever:
I started high school and my new friend Bryce was part of our schools ROTC, so he didn't refer to people by first name, and he didn't like my last name, so he said "your names Tick-Tock now" I asked him why, he said that hes sure that it will fit for some reason.

I didn't like the actual length version of my name (Danielle) so I decided to shorten it to something better. So now I go by Danni and give the death stare or grunt in exasperation to whoever refers to me by Danielle (bar my parents who dislike me referring to myself in any other way than Danielle). Plus I have another friend called Daniel so it helps to differentiate who is being referred to. Don't really have any other nicknames that stuck/I care for.

[color=#ff69b4]It was more or less given to me by my brother. I've only been going by Tsamari for about 3 years. The way it worked out was I started to hate my old nickname/username so I ended up getting this from my brother as it's a name he used for a bit and I always liked the name.

Most of my friends IRL call me by surname, simply because there are so many people in my area with the same name as me - Mike. Likewise, every other Mike is referred to by surname to avoid confusion.


Having said that though, even when I'm the only Mike about, people still call me by surname out of habit.

misaki chi (aka misaki, misa, misachi, chi-chan, etc) - username on here and nickname I got in highschool from some friends cause I am similar to the character the name belongs to (Misaki Suzuhara from Angelic Layer)

meep-chan - I go meep a lot in skype and online lol

lurker-chan - I lurk around skype and fakku alot even when I don't talk sometimes

squeaks - got the nickname for a little bit back in highschool because when I get suprised or get poked I go sqeak .///.

I only get one that is a play on my real name but people know the my real name is unique so I make people call me my real name

My username comes from the Japanese word: Himitsu meaning secret. The x is just cause it looks cool lol.

Mmm, Brit, which is just shorthand for my name. I don't prefer it, but I certainly don't mind when people say it.

Online, Ziggy, Zig, ZigZag. In game I have a username Zeige, and my friends go "Zee-Gee." to tease me. "Quit feeding, ZEE-GEE! :P"

I have the worst nickname that was randomly given to me on the CTFG forums, when my friend thought it'd be funny to call by a food that I happen to eat everyday. Another friend from IB -- without knowing the history -- happened to come up with the same idea, and he caused it to make the nickname much more frequently used than it ever was.

It's basically shifting a single letter out of my old username that I used to have here.

Do I like it? Nope. Not at all, because fuck that.
