personally, i like it when guys talk to me like they would anyone else. if i see your cheezy come on's from a mile away, i tend to run the other way. just talk to her like she's a potential friend and then start to slightly flirt.
but as far as your jokes...maybe you should take a step back and rethink those....one of my biggest turn offs are when people try to put down someone else in a joke just to make yourself look better. if they are sexist or racist jokes....those can work pretty much the same way.
