Otaku | Wikipedia : is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, hentai, manga, or video games.
I'm a 50% otaku,I spend my free time drawing anime characters,I quit my favorite game[DotA] for more time to read and watch manga and anime,I go to Cyber Cafe just to watch anime[my house has an unstable line],I buy manga comic books even tho I've read it online.
The other 50% is because I still do sports,I jog, swim, and have basketball training on a regular basis[at least 1 time for each sport per week]
So what % are you? :)

I don't quite think you can so easily give a % base for otakuness as no one , not even the most pious and addicted otakus can do that. besides that, I would probably give you a 25% , from what I can take you having delved into true spending probably because of a lack of continuous income and/or not available because of family or fear of judgement, also anime tends to bleed into though process and can't be so easily separated from everyday life,as the old motive of separating work and pleasure, you need to make a percentage on how long you delve into the otaku world during spare time.

I would give myself 30%. I do not read manga's I would not go buy things regarding anime series or manga's. I do not hang posters of video games or a specific character in my room or anywhere. The only things that I would do regarding otaku-ness are watching anime (I do not watch daily but if I want to watch it would be 3-5 episodes a day). play video games a lot. (Unfortunately I do not have money to buy the games I want U_U). and last is download images of anime characters, games, and game characters. (23GB of images...)

Id give myself a 50% I love anime, and I love life. But I do balance it, I don't spend my time constantly talking about anime and stuff. I do socialize a lot and still stick with the real world no matter how much anime gets to me. But sure there are times where I talk to my friends about it, but most of them don't really appreciate it as much as I do.
Anyway, Otaku isn't a term specifically for anime or anything japanese toon related. But it generally is a term on what you are so obsessed about, well not really obsessed but something you have a liking to and are quite attached to it.

30% otaku.
i do watch anime a lot especially with the mecha genre, and buy model kits, and that's it.
people in our place are quite stereotypes, they treat you weird if you watch cartoons, or anime.
the other 70% is more on studying, working and socializing.

*weeabooThat's the correct term here...
as i understand it, otaku is the japanese equivalant of 'fanboy'. fan boy can apply to several different themes. like star wars fan boy, or nintendo fan boy. weeaboo is specificly a japanophile or anime fanboy.
1% here btw. nearly all the anime/manga i view is hentai, and all of it translated only.

1% here btw. nearly all the anime/manga i view is hentai, and all of it translated only.I dont watch anime/read (non-h) manga almost at all anymore. Lately I've just watched few episodes of Maria Holic Alive, roughly 2 months ago I watched PSG and before that I didnt watch any anime for months. And the last time I've read a non-h manga was probably 2-3 years ago when I read few chapters of DMC.
But still my 'otaku%' would be a bit higher than 1%, because I draw animu shit too :< Maybe like 5% max or something. [size=6]But I'd rather not think like that because for some reason the use of otaku word by non-japanese is a bit annoying imo.[/h]

otaku in Japan is like how us Americans call people hipsters while gritting their teeth.
I read a few manga, but most of them are already finished so I'm just catching up. not only that, but I read through them very slowly (every three days, if even that). lately, I've only watched one show at a time and they're usually currently airing ones. once that's done I move on or wait for the next one. sometimes I watch whatever my friends suggest but whether or not I take it seriously depends.
can't really tell you a percent because percents are the stupidests.

I read Manga and watch Anime almost exclusively nowadays. But I don't have any anime memorabillia, don't draw anime characters and I keep forgetting the names of H-mangas and Hentai that I read/watch unless I favourite it, and I have read and watched alot of Hentai, so it's kinda bad that I can't come up with names on demand.
But since you're makng us guess how much of a weeaboo we are using percentages, I'd say I'm about 15%? Maybe a bit less?

Some things are inaccurate, but this is in an entirely new league.

75%, probablyIt's weird to see such low numbers.
I'm gonna have to agree with this. Its kind of dumb to give a percent to your otaku-ness but hell I know I'm probably above 50%.
